I stepped into the classroom just as the bell rang.
"Well, you're right on time Mr. Jackson." Mr. Harrington, the mythology teacher, said. "Please take a seat."
I decided to sit at the back, at the far right corner of the room. On the way there, Zach stuck his foot out to trip me. But due to years of training, I managed to keep my balance and only stumbled a bit. I heard him snicker, along with his friends.
Zach, Victoria, Emery, and Kenneth are my bullies. I really don't know why in Hades they kept bothering me. Probably just your typical school bullies that always make fun of people who they see as weak. If they weren't mortals, they would've had riptide at their necks.
Zach has blonde hair and blue eyes that is strangely familiar. But I can't seem to place it. He's the captain of the football team and has an ego the size of Jupiter. The planet, I mean. Though the god can work too.
Emery is the stereotypical popular girl with blond hair and light blue eyes. She is Zach's girlfriend and is a bit smart sometimes, but since she is one of my bullies, she really isn't on my good books.
Victoria, has red-brown hair and caramel eyes. She wears more make up than a cake wears icing. Well, at least to me...
Kenneth is probably the biggest flirt I have ever seen. Aside from Apollo that is. I don't know how Victoria puts up with him, him being her boyfriend after all. And he's also part of the football team. He has blond hair and blue eyes too.
At the start with of the school year, I always seem to get attention (I almost assumed they were monsters). Girls asking me out, boys making me play sports, groups asking me to join, but I always turn them down. Oh, there are also others asking where I disapeared to for almost a year. Well, I can't just say 'Oh, nothing. Just got kidnapped by a cow goddess, went to a roman camp with no memories, traveled around the world on a flying greek warship with a head of a bronze dragon as a figurehead, battled monsters with a pen that turns into a sword, jumped off a cliff to literal hell to save a girlfriend, successfully crawling out of hell with said girlfriend, fighting in a war against Mother Earth–who is a complete B, by the way–and putting her to sleep. Oh! And almost dying a few hundred times. (Shrugs) No biggie.' Instead I just answered with ' family problems. ' Which is true cause, Gaia is my great grandmother.
Wow...what a loving family. I have uncles that want to kill me, along with some other relatives and cousins, I have pissed off three primodials, which are probably my.....great....great...uncles/aunts/mother....? Gah! The mythological family is confusing! And weird.
Anyway, due to being antisocial, not speaking much, and not laughing, smiling, frowning, getting angry, and pretty much not showing emotions, I fell down the popularity ladder. Girls started spreading rumors about me, probably because I rejected them.
Which is just what I wanted. I don't want mortals to get hurt around me during a monster attack. There aren't as much monster attacks as before. They are probably thinking twice at attacking me.
Do I need to list the reasons?
"Mr. Jackson. Mr. Jackson!"
I was jolted from my thoughts and blinked. "W-what?" I guess my mind wandered again. Stupid ADHD.
"Do you know the answer to my question?" Mr. Harrington raised his eyebrow.
"Um, I'm sorry, but, could you repeat the question?" The class snickered.
Mr. Harrington looked annoyed."What are the names of the three gorgon sisters?"
I sighed (and did a mental happy dance). " Medusa, Euryale, and B-Stheno." I almost said Beano there. Ahh, memories.
The teacher blinked and said, "Well, that is correct." And he went on and on about greek mythology facts and whatnot that I already knew from lessons in camp, and from my personal experiences. Having a daughter of Athena as a girlfriend also helps.
I looked out the window, my mind wandering to camp and Annabeth. I already missed camp, even though I was literally just been there yesterday. The smell of strawberries and trees, the sight of campers milling about, the sea glinting in the sun, the scent of the sea in my cabin, and of course the sea itself.
I have to endure hell-sorry, school by myself before Annabeth joins me here next year for 11th grade. And she will arrive this summer. After 12th grade, we will be in the college in New Rome, learning with legacys and fellow halfbloods.

I munched on my blue cookies(long story) in the library. Even though reading is basically torture, except for ancient greek and latin, the library seem to calm me. The smell of books reminds me of my Wise girl. And its also quiet instead of the dirty and noisy cafeteria.
I was just finishing my last one when I heard a low growl. I tensed and reached out my senses, my ears strained for any sound, my eyes scanning for any signs of movement. I put my cookie on the table and stood up, and took out riptide in pen form.
Another growl and a blur of black. I rolled out of the way, my sword appearing in my hand, and slashed. The hellhound yelped, but moved away just in time to recieve any major damage. It growled and bared its teeth. It hesitated at the sight of celestial bronze. His head is up to my chest, which is pretty small for a hellhound. You should've seen Mrs. O' Leary. That dog is almost as big as my apartment.
It pounced, his teeth aimed for my neck. I slid on the ground, baseball style, and thrust my sword upwards, it going through the stomach. The giant dog yelped and fell on the ground, before melting into shadows.
I uncapped Anaklusmos and looked around. Nope, no witnesses. I picked up my half-eaten cookie and threw the paper bag in a trash can. I then left the room, unaware of the pair of eyes watching in shock from behind the book shelves, hidden from sight.
