A/N: if you listen to "Stay With Me" By R5 while reading this it adds a really powerful tone. Just a suggestion. Also, click the links if you want a visual of Nina's outfit.

I finish putting on concealer powder, blush and eyeliner, after I have showered. I put on a yellow sun dress that is lacy with cap sleeves http://www.modcloth.com/shop/dresses/girls-just-wanna-have-sun-dress. I French braid the two front sections of my hair and pin them back ( https://www.pinterest.com/pin/334462709799155527  ). Finally I put on my nude flats. Soon enough, I hear a knock at my door. I open it to find Ross in Khaki shorts and a blue polo top.

"My favorite color is yellow." He says and smiles. I laugh and role my eyes.

We take a cab to a small restaurant down town. When we get there. I order a water and Ross gets a soda.

"So, what are you getting?" He asks.

"I think a salad." I say. Again, I hate cliché. It's not that I want to seem all lady like by ordering a salad, it's just that everything on the menu sound odd and foreign.

"No way! We are in Puerto Rico! Take a chance! Get something weird!" I'm tired of him pestering me.

"Fine!" The waitress comes over. "I'll have the Pastelon." I say. She doesn't speak English well, so she just scribbles it down.

"And I will have the Alcapurria." Ross says. "Thank you." We hand her the menus and she walks back to the kitchen.

"So why did you really bring me here?" I ask.

"To get to know you." He smiles.

"What? I'm like, the simplest person alive!" I say.

"Not to me! To me you are...you are... a c minor chord."

"Are you comparing me to a...guitar chord?" I ask. Not really insulted just...confused.

"Yes!" He says. His eyes light up as I lean backwards. "You see, you are a C minor. They are really hard to master and play, but once you get to know how to play them well, they sound beautiful in a song!" He says. I see the light in his eyes and it makes me smile.

"Okay. So I'm a guitar chord... What else do you want to know?" I ask, moving back to my original position.

"No! Not just any guitar chord! An amazing, mysterious guitar chord, that's sour sound can created a sweet, meaningful song!" He says leaning forward.

"Okay, I'm a special guitar chord. Tell me, do you always get this excited when comparing girls to guitar chords?" I laugh. He laughs too and replies;

"Actually, this is the first time I've ever compared a girl to a guitar chord." He says leaning back, and winks.

"What an honor!" I say sarcastically. He laughs.

"You know, not to sound cocky, but you should be a little kinder. A lot of girls would love to go on a date with me, and I chose you." He said.

"First of all, this is not a date." I scold him. He raises an eyebrow. "And second, I do appreciate being on a friendly dinner with you. I am a fan of R5."

"Really?" I nod. "You don't seem like the type of person to like my band." He says. I sigh.

"I bet I'm not a lot of things you think I am." I say. He leans back in his chair.

"Well that's why we are here." He says. I shrug my shoulders.

Our food comes out and we both analyze our own plates for a minute and then each other's. Mine looks like some sort of lasagna. Ross' looks like some giant fried Potato.

"Well you got the short end of the stick." He laughs. I can't help but laugh too.

We sit for a while trying both of each other's food. Both dishes are surprisingly very good. I can barely make a dent in my large serving, but Ross clears his plate, and some of mine.

"Jeez you eat a lot." I say. He shrugs.

"I'm okay with that." I laugh. Me too. We fight over who is to pay for a while.

"This is my night I invited you on. I am going to pay." He says.

"Fine, I'll pay next time." I say. He raises his eyebrow

"Oh, so when's next time?" He smiles. This boy is going to be the death of me.

We finish, pay and get a cab back to the hotel. We stand under the awning.

"Well, thank you for tonight. I really had a lot of fun. And I hope that you learned everything you wanted." I say.

"I didn't say we were done." He takes my hand and runs to the beach.

"Ross! Ross!" I say as we continue running. When we stop I see a pickup truck on the sand. Ross climbs in. I don't know how he got it here, but I'm not sure I want to know. "Ross if you brought your car, why did you waste money on a taxi?"

"This isn't mine!" He laughs as he lays in the back of the truck.

"What! Ross we could get in serious trouble!" I say approaching the car. Before I know it, Ross yanks me into the car. And I am laying on my back.

"Don't worry, it's eleven o'clock, no one's coming!"

"Fine! Five minutes." I reply.

After two hours of laying looking at the stars, listening to airplanes, listening to the waves and answering countless questions for Ross, he asks me another, more unexpected question.

"What do you love most in this world?" He asks. This takes me a while. I answer as what and not who.

"Waves." I say.

"You surf?" He asks looking at me, and I look at him. Our faces are very close.

"No. I just like them." I see the small breeze blow at his fluffy gold hair. I smile. "They're always following the same pattern and rhythm. Whether anyone is watching or not." I say. He smiles I look back at the stars, but I can see Ross still looking at me out of the corner of my eye. "What do you love most in the world?" I ask.

"You'll learn when you take me out to find out about me." He laughs.

"I guess I will." I say. I feel the top of our heads touch and I listen to the waves.

"They are beautiful, aren't they? I never noticed. I guess you made me notice." He says.

"What?"

"The waves. They are beautiful. I mean I know we can't see them, but just the sound they make. I guess you helped me realized that." I look at him and he looks at me. I don't smile. I just look into his eyes and examine them, as if it will help me learn all about him.

Curiosity fills me when I am with Ross. I can't deny that.
