One day later, and the devastation is still seeping into me. I'm on my balcony, reading Macbeth, when I get a phone call. I answer, scared it's Ross, or any other member of R5.
"Hello?" I ask, hesitantly.
"Hi, is this Gardenia Morahan?" A voice asks.
"Yes." I say.
"Hi, this is Robert Joffrey." He says. I sit up in my seat. Oh my god, this is not happening.
"Oh my gosh, what an honor! I'm an admirer, Mr. Joffrey." I say.
"Please, call me Robert." He says.
I'm on a first name basis with Robert Joffrey.
"I was actually calling because I heard you auditioned a few weeks ago and broke your ankle." He says.
"Unfortunately, I did. But, I'm alright. Thank you." I say.
"Well, Gardenia, my Judges were very impressed with what they saw from you."
"Thank you, Robert." I say.
"SO we would like to offer you a shadow experience with a Joffrey student until you are well enough to dance again." He says.
"How much would this be?" I ask.
"A scholarship." He replies. I silently cheer.
"That sounds amazing!" I say.
"It's at our school headquarters in New York." He says.
New York. That's really far away from-
No. No. No more of him.
"I would love to, Robert. Thank you." I say.
"Thank you, Gardenia." He says.
"When does this begin?" I ask.
"August 2nd. You would fly out and get situated in your dorm the first." He says.
One week.
"Perfect." I say without thinking. "Thank you so much!" I say.
"Our pleasure." He says, hanging up.

So of course I checked with my parents and CJ, and I kinda hopped they had said no, as horrible as that sounds.
So in one week, I would being going back to the East Coast. And I was happy, but I couldn't just leave.
So I called someone I haven't called in a while.
"Hello?" I asked when they answered the phone. I sigh. "We need to talk."
