"Should we go get her?" Cynthia asked still eyeing at Valin and Jack. It was unbelievable that Valin would do this, and for what reason? Jack wasn't a prince or even higher class... He was suppose to be a dead guy.

"Stay close behind me." Damien instructed as he went towards the two couples. Cynthia listened and slowly motioned behind him. As they came closer Cynthia caught something very odd, Valins skin. It was badly covered in a disgusting dark green color, that trailed to her neck down to her arms. Even her eyes were different, instead of blue it was an orange color.

"Wait." Cynthia warned, making Damien stop before he interrupted the two.

"Let see what happens." She insisted. Damien didn't want to go with that idea but instead of being stubborn he went along with it. Waiting behind the side of a building they watched the two. Jack cupped his hands in Valin's face, giving her an evil smile. Valin on the other hand just looked at him seeming hypnotized.

"You have been a good girl to me... Now it's time for your last and finally gift. Come." And with that said Jack grabbed Valin and magically appeared what looked to be a purpleish portal. Once they stepped inside they instantly disappeared but the portal was still there. Damien didn't think twice about going towards the portal but Cynthia was a little bit worried.

"Stay here. I'll go get her and be back soon." Damien said inching towards the hole. Cynthia quickly grabbed Damien by the arm.she was afraid to be left alone in the unfamiliar environment and felt more protected by staying right beside Damien.

"I'll come with you." Cynthia simply said. Damien's immediate words were going to be No,but he knew Cynthia would be stubborn and he didn't have much time to be dealing with her attitude until the portal disappeared. The portal was shrinking much faster now and Damien quickly grabbed her by the hand and jumped inside not thinking twice about it. Once they jumped inside they felt like they were swirling around in a big circle until they suddenly landed on...snow. Snow was covered around them and they weren't even remotely close to wearing the right attire. Damien recognized this place where him and his father used to hunt. It was a long way home but not to far. Cynthia shivered by the cold and looked around to see Valin and Jack but they nowhere in sight .Instead she saw a little gray building on the far side.

"Look." She said quivering her finger towards the building.Damien caught on what she was looking at it and thought that's where Valin and Jack must be. Looking at the uncontrollable quivering girl he instantly came over towards Cynthia wrapping his warm body over her. He wasn't much affected by the cold, in fact it really felt like nothing to him so he was very much warm. He was more concerned on how Cynthia was doing trying to bare the cold harsh weather. Feeling much more warmer now Cynthia and Damien walk to the gray building. The gray building was quickly approaching them it was very small not big at all... it was more like a shack to be quite honest. Damien kicked the door open and it instantly fell to the floor, noticing that Valin's back was facing them and was kneeling. Her body shook and quivered in a weird motion. It seemed as though she is like a ticking bomb that was ready to explode. Damien only moved around her watching Valin cautiously not trusting her judging by her abnormal posture. Cynthia only stood by the door anticipated on what was going to happen but that's when she noticed that someone else was missing in the room. Jack. Brown eyes looked all over the room scared but there is no sign of him anywhere.

"Damien." Cynthia whispered. She whispered so low that Damien couldn't even hear her. So she tried again.

"Damien...." She was suddenly cut off by Valin snapping her head into a full turn making Cynthia fall back in fright. Once she fell on the snow she landed on her back. Groaning in pain she noticed something underneath the wooden stairs. She couldn't tell what it was so she sat up to get a closer look. But when she did her heart sank. Her eyes filled with fear. It was the real Valin, pale and dead. Cynthia shot her head up and all the puzzle pieces came together, it was a trap.

"Damien!" She screeched but the door quickly shut tight.

"Fuck." Damien growled realizing that it was a trap. He knew Valin was dead and the thing that he was trapped with was the Howlax itself. Many stories were told by people of this creature. It was mainly known as mimicking people that it truly envied then later on dispose the original body. The Howlax looked very much like Valin crawled on its hands and feet, yellow eyes darted him, showing off its bare fangs. Blood of its victim smeared over its face.

"Ah it's the Artashir himself." The Howlax said in its multiple voice.

Damien growled by the name he is known and what he truly is. He hated the name Artashir, the great man warrior /slaughter.This name was assigned to him originally by his great powers because of his family and so he has to keep up with the title.Hints on why he is the way he is. He doesn't die easily like other men but that also doesn't mean he can survive through everything.

"I've been wanting you for a while now... Over 59 years I've been waiting for another Artashir to come onto this planet. And here you are. Now I can finally posses the power." Without a warning or hesitation the Howlax leaped into the air lunging at Damien but with the his quick reflexes he dodged the monsters attack. The monster tired striking again and this time he caught his leg making Damien fall to the ground. Damien instantly swept his feet underneath causing it to fall backwards onto the hard wood floor. He straddled the now flaring Howlax and repeated hard punches at its face. The feel of its flesh under his knuckles was satisfying as he continued to strike. Damien couldn't find the will to stop hitting it as he continued and because he was focused on beating the shit out of the Howlax he didn't notice it's dagger tail aiming for his head. Suddenly a sharp painful knife stabbed Damien in the neck, instantly paralyzing him. Unable to move the Howlax slithered on top of him.

"Prepare to die." The Howlax hissed and before it was about to kill it was interrupted by a sudden noise.

"Damien!!" Cynthia screamed.

The Howlax slithered off of him and looked over in the window. Once it laid eyes on the gorgeous Cynthia it wanted her.

Damien eyes fumed in fury still unable to move, knowing what the new prey was.

The Howlax smiled at the beauty.

"Yes... She will be mine."
