The news was spreading rapidly. When Lucy and Jaguar went home to their families the same story was told. Mothers and fathers spread the news amongst their friends. Friends told amongst bakers, butchers, and blacksmiths. It was going around the town so much that all but one guard heard of the princess return.
"My Lord! Important news has come upon the kingdom!" The guard said, rushing inside the throne room where the king and queen sat happily together. Concern faces was spread across their face when they saw urgency in the guard's eyes.
"Spit it out. What could possible be so important?" The king asked.
Out of breath the guard regained composure to finally speak.
"Princess Cynthia has returned." The guard spat.
The queen and king were shocked to hear such news. Princess Cynthia has returned? No it couldn't be..
"How certain are you of this ?" The queen quickly asked, fright was hidden in her voice.
"My lady it's been on going throughout the town. All say she is hidden far out into the woods by a nearby cottage." The guard explained.
Both the king and queen looked at each other, uncertain of what to do.
"No she can't be. Even if she didn't get the hand of the prince she would've stayed in Haven for good. This is an outrage." The queen said, clenching her belly tight. Knowing that her unborn son will know his sister. But they can't let him find out. This is their only chance to start over. A chance to raise their prince the right way. If the unborn prince knows about his sister, disaster may come upon the kingdom and he might follow into Cynthia's footsteps.
"Bring here her...dead or alive. I want her here at once!" The king boomed. The guard strictly followed his order and assembled the men, ready to capture Princess Cynthia.
Tommy finally came back with a full bag of tomatoes, just like his mother asked. Georgia thanked her son and began the process of chopping the tomatoes into bits and pieces.
"Do you need any help?" Cynthia asked after rocking Lia asleep.
Georgia simply shook her head and gave a warm smile.
"No dearie but you and the boys should probably go catch some rabbits for the stew." Georgia said.
Leo heard his mothers words and pretended to fall into a deep sleep. Maybe just a little overly dramatic when he snored loudly then usual. Cynthia rolled her eyes and grabbed Tommy's small sling shot. She found a small bean and placed it on the elastic band, using the tips of her fingers she grabbed the band and pulled back. Eyes focused on her target that was aiming straight at Leo's forehead. Cynthia let out a cool breath and fired. The bean flew straight forward and made a loud thud directly onto Leo's forehead.
"Ow you sun of a....God that fucking hurt!!" Leo mumbled while rubbing his head.
Cynthia let out a small laugh.
"Well come on you lazy bum. You don't want to eat just tomatoes for dinner." Cynthia said grabbing her bow and arrow.
Leo groaned irritated and got up to get his own and Tommy did the same. They all went out to hunt. Walking through the woods they saw the brilliant sunset in a perfect view it was nearly almost seconds away until it disappeared until tomorrow.
"So tell me now Bounty Hunter. What will you do without us back in Haven?" Leo asked jokingly.
Cynthia hadn't really thought of that. She kinda just figured to just go back and tell everyone the truth.
"I don't know really. I'll just kinda see where it goes." Cynthia admitted.
Cynthia has told Leo the whole story about her being in Haven and what it was like. Although he knows the story he doesn't really seem to quiet get the bizarre descriptions of Haven. But yet at the same time it was fascinating to hear all the trouble she has went through for the Prince.
