Chapter 4

The golden nights stood in front of each woman. Making Felix stand out, the king and queen finally noticed him.

"Who are you?" Luna asked, while everyone turned to see him. All eyes were on Felix making him nervous.

"I'm Felix the messenger, I came here with Cynthia... from Noctovia."Felix stuttered.

Luna transferred eyes towards Cynthia. She completely forgot about Felix.

"Is this true Cynthia?" Alistair asked.

Yes it was but Cynthia wanted to say different. Years of dealing with his bullshit she wanted to lie and say she had no clue who he was and that he has been following her. Then she did remember that Felix did help her get to Haven. She had a feeling if she lied the worst was to come for Felix.

"All of it was true." Cynthia said, her voice straight to the point.

Relief fell on Felix's face, he could tell what she was thinking.

Giggling came from the queen. Surely she was amused by something since no one else was laughing but her. Many years the queen and king only invited five girls.No messenger,no guard, no nothing from other planets so it was only strange to the queen to have Felix arrive. This simply was not allowed.

"I'm sorry messenger Felix but I am afraid you are not allowed in our kingdom, only five young ladies are allowed so I must ask you to go." Luna said sounding apologetic.

Cynthia was confused. Didn't Felix say that a guest from each kingdom must go with a princess? That explains why the other girls didn't have anyone but themselves. Why would he lie though? Maybe he wanted to come with her. Or maybe it was a trick. Cynthia figured it out by Felix's expression on his face, confusion.Which means he didn't plan to go with Cynthia at all and just followed orders by the king and queen from Noctovia. They wanted to get rid of him. Hurt was filled on his face.

"Oh my apologies I thought different. But your highness my ship doesn't come back until the next year. What am I to do?" Felix said, his voice lost and confused.

Cynthia could feel the hurt that Felix was feeling at this very particular moment, the betrayal, the lost love, and the hate of Noctovia. Raising her hand Luna laughed and just kept laughing. It wasn't a menacing laugh it was more sweet and pleasurable.

"No worries little messenger I shall take you there with a simple clap of my hands and you will be back to your home planet but you mustin return to this side of Haven, is that understood?" Luna said nicely.

She has the power to do that? Just by the clap of her hands he could go back? This must be a very powerful queen to have the ability to do that. Who knows what else she could do.

"Yes, thank you very much. But before I go a word with Cynthia, it will only take a minute." Felix said softly.

A nod came from the queen agreeing that Felix can speak to Cynthia for the last time.

Felix sadly came close to Cynthia, his eyes looking away from her. Cynthia had pity for Felix and so she embraced him with a hug. Shocked at first, Felix returned the hug back.

"I wish you the best. I have every faith that you will become queen in this planet. I was glad to serve you with the time I had..Princess Cynthia." Felix said, his voice faint and distanced.

Dust of silver smoke made Felix disappear into Cynthia's arms. He was gone. Her heart ached more then what she expected. Although Felix was a pain at times, in all honesty he was her only friend. As she was growing up he has been by her side, always trying to show the ways of being a good princess. Felix was her guidance and she took advantage of it. Now she was on her own.
