Chapter 19

"Meruem, your name is Meruem..."

I woke up and saw the butterfly and meat staring at me in a small form. At first I couldn't recognize them but after a while, I remembered who they were. I stood up and looked around and saw fire everywhere, as if a battle just occurred.

"King-sama, thank goodness you're awake!" The butterfly happily said and that's when I remembered I was the King of all Chimeras.

"You..." I pointed at the two of them. "Why are you in that form?"

"W-we fed you our particles so you could live!" The butterfly answered. "You almost died after the battle."

That's when I remembered that I was fighting Netero and he killed himself to detonate the bomb inside him. He was also the one who told me that my name was... Meruem. For some reason, I didn't want to share this information with the two Royal guards with me.

Netero also told me that if I were happen to survive, the smoke of the bomb will eventually kill me and those who were around me.

Something was missing... or rather... someone. 

A void was in my heart and it's longing for something.

"Lead me to the castle." I demanded.

"Yes your majesty, but we can't carry you anymore with our current size." The butterfly said and I made my own wings. "Yes, of course! Our powers were meant to be yours!"

"Lead the way." I ignored what he said, and they started flying.

We finally made it to the castle, and I remembered the place. I went to the game room where my body led me. I was looking for something, anything that will make me remember why my heart feels so... empty.

I looked around the room, lifting the rocks to find something and then I saw a chess piece. Right, I was playing with someone. Someone who was very important to me. Who was she? Where is she? 

My mind was going crazy as I tried to remember who this person was. I released a large amount of En to locate her, but instead I found a rather looking dog Chimera, who lost all his hair upon seeing me.

He knew to well that if he made the wrong move, or said the wrong thing, his life would end there. I wasn't in the mood for any games so I'm pretty sure he knows my intent.

With a single word he released, I remembered this special someone. The most important Chimera in my life, the one who changed everything I used to believe in, the one I love.

"Y/n..."

I left her with Pitou but they weren't in the same room anymore. I only saw blood stain on the ground, but no sign of Y/n anywhere. 

"I will spare your life. Thanks to you, I remembered Y/n." I told the dog and went to search for Y/n.

Not long after, I found the woman whom Pitou caught and turned into Chimera. She was supposed to be the next Queen and if it weren't for Y/n, this next queen would have been the next breeding ant.

"I can show you where Y/n is, but you can't leave the room." She told me.

I know I may be selfish to be with Y/n right now with the poison in me, but knowing that I'm dying soon, I want to spend the rest of my life with her.

"I will follow whatever condition you want, just bring me to her." I told her and she nodded.

"I may be your enemy, but I am now part Chimera. I know about the poison within you and this is the only thing I can do for you, your majesty. If Y/n wants to leave, she can but you may not." She said and I followed her. "She's in here, waiting for you."
