Broken Promises (Kaname x Reader)

He's Coming

"....What." I looked up at the headmaster in nothing less then shock. He didn't even know anything about me, and yet he wants me to join this academy? Cross academy? Wow... how convenient... the One place I was told to go, the only place that would provide shelter. Maybe I should just go with it... but one thing's bothering me still...

"Well you see, we have a pureblood Vampire here and he wishes for you to join our academy. A couple students in our Day class found you while they were out doing errands for me, Yuki and Zero. They will also be giving you a tour of the campus when you feel up to it, but for now we can ask Yuki to bring you to the Night Class Dorms, and from their you and Yuki can ask Kaname for your dorm. Have fun!" He smiled cheerfully and waved at me as I was slightly dragged out of my seat and into the hall.

I didn't realize someone else came in the room, so I was startled to say the least and might have almost broke their wrist...

"Ow! What the Fuck was that for?!" I looked up the guy and took that second to get a really quick idea who he was. He wore a black men's uniform an had lilac eyes and white hair. He was also really pissed off and holding his wrist that was previously holding onto my arm, He was glaring at me with such heated hatred that I'm sure he almost expected me to turn into dust. I finally snapped out of my thoughts and tried to fix my mistake.

"S-Sorry! I didn't hear you come into the room and you startled me...." I kinda trailed off as I looked to the ground, I was expecting some pain to follow as punishment. That's how it's always been if I fought back, but instead he turned around and started walking down the hall.

"Yea whatever.." He said it with a lot of venom but it didn't faze me, slowly I followed, making sure to leave some space in between us. You'd have to be dead to not realize he already hated me with a passion, I wonder why...

"Who are you?" I realized I had no idea what this guy's name was, or where he was leading me to.

Either he didn't hear me or decided to ignore me, Sighing I looked at the windows we passed. Seeing the sun shine through, I became lost in the orange glow yet again.

"You act like you've never seen the sun before." I looked over at the man I was following and noticed I stopped while I was looking outside, He was turned towards me watching me with the common hatred but I also saw a hint of curiosity shine deep withing his eyes. I turned my attention back to the window, savoring the lovely scene.

"I haven't..." My voice was a lot quieter then I meant it to be, but I knew he heard. I heard footsteps come closer to me and felt a pressure on my head. I looked up and saw his hand on my head as he looked at me with almost a look of pity.

"Zero." I starred confused at him and tilted my head slightly.

"Wha-?"

"My name's Zero." I then did something I didn't think I would be ale to do again for many years, i felt a small smile creep onto my face.

"Hi Zero, I'm (Y/N)"

I had met Yuki earlier after me and Zero had our 'moment', if you could call it that. Now I was following her to the Night Classes Dorms, it was still mid day and knowing a Vampires sleeping schedule I was not excited to enter that dorm. I might be a pureblood, but these last 14 years of torture broke me only last year. Leaving me with a small fear of Vampires and a rage brighter then any flame, I was just getting my abilities back after the last dose of ability numbing formula was starting to wear off. Rido would usually make sure I got at least one shot every two days to make sure I would never escape. I was supposed to get a new dose yesterday but thanks to breaking out a window and Winding up down stream, i kinda missed my appointment.

The formula was meant to keep my Vampire abilities at bay, which i'm guessing also hid the fact that I'm a pureblood from these people. They'll only find out when they either smell my blood directly, bite me which will not happen any time soon, or when the serum wears off leaving me with all my abilities and my pureblood 'scent' will come back. For now however, I needed to play dumb. It will take a long time for all my abilities to reappear, and as such it will be a long time till my pureblood 'scent' will come back.

While I was pondering all this Yuki and I made it to the front door and she knocked, I actually face palmed at this.... why would anyone-

Just then the door opened and I slowly lifted my head to look at who stood in the doorway, piercing blue eyes looked at us as he leaned against the door frame and I could see half of his face through the crack of the opened door. 

"Oh, Yuki... Come on in, Kaname is upstairs." He opened the door wider and I got a better look at him, Blonde hair framed his face and he held his head with his other hand in a tired fashion as he yawned.

"Thanks Aido!" She walked in as I stayed put and looked up at the building, hesitant to go in.

"Come on (Y/N)! We need to see Kaname-senpai to get you into your dorm." Pink dusted her cheeks as she said Kaname's name

"O-Oh right... sorry..." I slowly walked in and who I now know as Aido closed the door behind us. I observed him as he walked past us and stood as the bottom of a staircase, waiting for us to follow.

He looked at me oddly as I watched his every movement, he was starting to look annoyed.

"You're Ice..." He froze and starred at me wide eyed

"What did you say (Y/N)?" I could hear Yuki but I just shock my head and broke eye contact with Aido.

"Nothing Yuki, can we please see Kaname....senpai...? I would really like to go to sleep....." It was true, I was having trouble standing upright and stumbled a little when I walked. I was tired and thanks to the fast healing in this state I was even more exhausted. Yuki seemed to notice and so did Aido.

"I can go ask Kaname for you and be back in a minute, you and (Y/N) can go relax on the sofa till I get back." I just nodded my head saying a quick Thank You as I followed Yuki to a large sofa, she helped me sit down then sat down beside me. Gently she took my head and laid me down on her lap. I looked up at her confused but she just smiled warmly at me and started stroking my hair. 

I'm sure if I was wide awake I would've slapped her hand away and sat down as far as possible from her on the sofa, the motherly affection was making me uncomfortable. However against my will, my eyes closed and I was embraced into a deep slumber.

I woke up in a bed that I didn't recognize, I was starting to wonder if this was a habit this school had until a small note on the bedside table caught my eye. I sluggishly picked it up and examined it and for the first time in a few years I felt immense terror bloom inside my chest making it hard to breathe.
