Blood.
It stained my clothes, it covered the ground.
After what he said I lost it, everything pilled up and I needed a sense of control... An illusion he shattered.
His gun was pointed at me, unwavering and no regret for the effect it had caused.
My hands trembled
A bullet wound had hit my damaged leg, and another had gone through my gut. The holy engraved silver burned everything it touched and tore at the surrounding flesh.
Zero had scrapes and small cuts littering his body, I didn't want to physically hurt him and get kicked out. But more importantly, as I attacked him I couldn't shake the memory of Rito's torture.... So I missed, many many times.... He hadn't moved from his spot, ice encased his feet and glued him to the ground.
I couldn't heal, and I was losing blood quickly. I looked at his face, shocked was etched in as what had took place sunk in. The gun no longer held steady, but still trained on my heart.
"....why?" Almost a demanding tone, if not for the slight fear that distorted it.
"You really think, I would attack you full on...? If so you'd be dead before we finished talking. I'm going to fix myself up in town.... This didn't happen."
Confusion, silence
"What..?"
"I'll heal on my own, so will you. I won't mention anything to anyone, as long as you mention nothing of that letter." Anger flared in his eyes
"You damned Bitch! You planned this to use against me."
"Not my fault your so fast to draw your weapon, this is now my token. I know how the headmaster will react to this, so now we have a fair trade." I couldn't help but smirk in triumph at his baffled and furious state. Looking down I noticed the mess my blood was making.
"Might want to clean this up quickly Zero, before the Vampire's come to investigate." And with that I turned on my heel and ran for an isolated part of town.
***Time Skip***
It was a foolish plan, I realized the danger I had put myself in. Injured, alone, vulnerable. But I had no other choice, something drastic needed to happen in order for me to have 1up on Zero. I groaned, slowly sliding down an abandoned tower wall. I looked down at my leg, my terribly burnt and damaged leg.
I closed my eyes and prepared myself for what was to come, biting into my sleeve I dug my hand into the swollen wound and searched around till I found the bullet and yanked it out. Electricity flew as it rejected my touch, and flew a few feet away. The harder one was still yet to come.
Tears were streaming down my face, I had to do this fast or else I'd pass out. Knowing that could happen sent a chill down my spine as fear struck.
Rito
I repeated the process, muffled screams were heard as I fished threw my gut. Tears slapped the stone beneath me and wouldn't stop. Finally, I found it and tore it out. Placing a hand over my stomach I cradled the wound and refused to move my leg, energy spent I couldn't even take the fabric out of my mouth.
The muscles in my leg slowly stitched themselves together, a painfully slow pace. Damn Vampire Hunter weapons....
My eyes widened as a distinct scent reached my nose. My head snapped to the source.
A little boy stood there, giggling like a madman as shark teeth smiled towards me and red beady eyes danced in mirth at the blood pool beneath me. A truly psychotic sight. I narrowed my eyes at the abomination before me.
