"Mark?", I asked him.

He doesn't say anything back.

"Why did you try to shoot me?", I looked back at the ground.
Mark didn't say anything for a moment. He slowly lifted his head and turned it to me.

"I wasn't in control of myself", he looked at me sadly.

"Why is that?", I asked.

He turns his back directly to me.
"Lift my shirt again", he softly says.

I nod and pull the back of his shirt up.
"What?", I asked softly in confusion.

Google hands me a small knife.
"Why are you giving me a knife?", I took the weapon in my palm.

"Cut into my backbone skin a small bit", he softly muttered to me.
I did as he asked and let the sharp tip dig into his thick skin very gently; blood leaking out.

"Why is there blood?", I looked up at Mark.

"I was built that way", he chucked slightly.

I cut in a little more until I discovered a piece of metal located in his back. I gently pushed some of his skin out of the way to look at a control panel; blood stuck inside the buttons.

"What does this do?", I asked.

There were switches, buttons, and knobs.
Each were labeled unmanual, manual, and sensitivity. I could see that the sensitivity was all the way down. The weirdly explains a lot..

The knob was on manual, but it looked as if it was ripped and damaged in order to get it to that stage.
"Did you scratch it?", I looked back at him.

He nods.

"How come your back looked as if you never touched it"

"My skin heals quickly. The blood cells collect fast and multiply", he stated.

I turn the sensitivity all the way up without him knowing; I just want to know how much different he'd be. I pull his shirt back down.

"Why is this elevator ride taking so long?", I asked while I pulled his shirt back down.

"That's a good question", Mark walked up to the wall and scanned around with his eyes.

"That's the first time you've actually complimented me", I mumbled while crossing my arms.

"You want more compliments? You're the most ignorant, boring girl I've ever met"

"H-Hey!", I angrily yelled at him.

"But you're also the most beautiful girl I've ever met", he said softly as he set his hand on the wall.

"...Oh, um..", I blushed slightly.

"Right now is not the time for blushing, we've got to get out of here. The elevator is stuck in place"

I searched my pocket for my pistol and bow. My bow and arrows were luckily still in tact, although my pistol and remote was no where to be seen.

"Hey, do you have my pistol?", I asked Mark as he searched the elevator.

"Oh,..", he reached in his pocket and handed me my pistol and remote.

"You're going to need both", he calmy said.

"Why the remote? I thought we took care of the 'controlling' situation", I looked up at him.

"I still have a computer chip located inside my brain cells", he pointed to his head.

"Oh,..", I sighed; equipping the pistol in my pocket.

Mark looked around the elevator more; sighs heavily to his frustration, "There's no way out of here"

"What are we going to do now?"

"This is his plan"

I looked at him confused for a moment.

"Who's plan?", I asked.

"I was programmed not to reveal that question"

"Oh..", I remained silent. Looking back at Mark.

"Why can't you press the alarm?", I asked Mark.

"Even if I did, that wouldn't work"

"Why not? Is it busted?", I asked.

"Like I said, this is the work of the creator"

I look at the ceiling to try to locate a vent of some sort.

"There isn't a way out the top either", he sighed.

Mark sat at the end of the wall; leaning a knee up and the other leg flat out. He sighs and stretches his right arm over his knee.

"It's hopeless", he muttered as a tear rolled out his eye.

"I didn't know you could cry", I looked over to him.

"It tends to happen when someone turns my sensitivity all the way up", he smirks at me.

I smile awkwardly and I sit down next to him.

The wall next to us collapses as a shuttle rips through the painted wall; making Mark and I jump back in surprise!

The latch on top opens and greets us to a friendly face.

Good question you guys! Honestly, I thought it would have been a blood bath in the comments, but you guys all wanted to same question xD

Good thing you didn't ask the first question, lol.

Although, what if I told you the last question told you everything? xD
That's okay though, you still got a good result so don't feel bad.
