I bolted out of my bed, again.
The dream was obviously over.
"Whew....", I said quietly out loud, wiping the tip of my forehead in relief.
I glanced to my side and saw a shirtless Google next to me in bed!
"Okkkkkaaaaaaaayyy...", I trailed my eyes to the broken screen of the alarm clock; 6:56
I grumbled out of bed and kept my grey sweatshirt on, since that was the only thing I had. I bet this sweatshirt was Amanda's, but I'm sure she won't mind.
I pulled my bow over my back and trudged out of the worn out hotel. Walking down the dusty path, I look around to see youtubers talking, training, or throwing up- the apocalypse really gets to you.
Just like the Matrix.
I reached where the open space for training was at, a table full of weapons, old punching bags on the ground, and all that. Mark was sitting on a worn out chair, sleeping?
I slouched as I walked over lazily.
"Mark? Get up", I mumbled, only receiving nothing but small movement from him.
I stood my back straight and glared at him.
"Dude, get up!", I said sternly, punching his arm.
"Mm? That hurt", He murmured as he rubbed his arm and fluttered his eyes open.
"We only have til tomorrow to get ready for the fight-thing!", I sneered, lugging up his large gun and tossing it at him. It hit his face and fell down his lap, slipping off and hitting the dusty ground.
"I'm up!", He said through gritted teeth as he lazily stood up and stretched his back.
"Finnnally", I groaned, pulling my bow out and practicing aiming with it.
I caught a mere glimpse of Toby running over with fear stained on his face.
"What's up with him?", I ask.
"Hm?", Was the only sound that escaped Mark's lips as he peered his eyes up, examining Toby like a wild horse.
"Crap crap crap- I need your guy's help!", Toby yelled when he had caughten up to where our feet stood. He slouched over to lean on his knees and pant out in exhaustion, the heat of his breath blowing some dust on the ground away.
"Alright alright alright, what's the problem?", I ask with a tone of annoyance in my voice.
"Those guys who went to a Google Tower last night are in trouble! We need some people down there!", Toby explained quickly as he pulled out his small radio, showing it to us. Probably to mean that they contacted him but some dramatic moment made it difficult.
"Calm down!", I say, raising a curious eyebrow down at him.
Toby stood up and took a deep breath, slowly looking at me seriously.
"Those guys who were sent to Google Towers...that left me a message on the radio for help. I hear you're the bravest here, so I need your help going to Google Towers to see what happened."
"Don't you think it may be too late?", I questioned, not wanting to go to the Google Tower. If Felix was there, I don't want to meet with him again...He gives me the creeps. Although I am most definite he didn't make it during the last Google Tower where it collapsed.
"Yeah...probably. But...we should at least check. I don't want to stand around and know they could still be alive, you know? What if a terminator got to them or something?", He asked, raising an eyebrow like it was a typical thing.
"Unless it's a Google IRL, there will be no terminator, Toby", Mark sighed.
"Hey..that brings up the question; are you able to order a Google IRL to hunt someone down, like, the terminator or something?", I questioned curiously.
I'm just a boring girl in this world. I'm not interesting, why would I even be tracked down? I have absolute no use to this world, yet this disaster occurs because I pick up a damn Google IRL! All I was focused on was trying to sign up for a college, but that probably won't be happening any time soon.
"Make a Google track down someone? I won't be surprised if that's possible", Mark inquired.
"Like a terminator? I don't know but that'd be really cool!", Toby said, snickering. He felt the awkward silence and stopped laughing abruptly.
"Alright, we'll do it", I said hesitantly.
"I'm sorry, we?", Mark asked awkwardly with the raise of a eyebrow.
"Yesh", was all I said, looking at the ground.
"Let's go kick some ass!", Mark said out loud, holding his rifle in one hand in the air.
"Took you long enough", Toby said with a smile.
Took you long enough- said to the narrator.
