The Most Dangerous Kind of Love 8
The guys drove for about twenty minutes until they came to what looked like a storage warehouse.
"Blindfold her," Alex ordered Jason.
Jason let out a growl, but took a bandana from the front of the truck and turned back to me.
"Please don't," I whispered, scooting a little bit away from him.
Jason sighed. "I'm really sorry Channing," he whispered back. "I wouldn't if I could do something about this."
"Why can't you? Can't we just leave?"
He shook his head. "I'm sorry."
He went to put the blindfold around my eyes, and I let out an involuntary whimper.
Jason sighed again. "I'll get you out of here, Channing. I promise."
I nodded small and allowed him to tie the bandana around my head.
Then out of nowhere, I felt his lips on my cheek, making my blood rush suddenly. He pressed a small kiss there before his lips went to my ear.
"Just follow my lead," he whispered. "Don't do what they tell you unless I say it's okay."
"O-okay," I stuttered, stunned that he had just kissed my cheek. The badass Jason McCann just kissed me. It was probably the softest, most gentle motion he could do, and yet the bad boy with the reputation of danger just did that. I was shocked.
I heard a car door open, and Jason shuffled out.
"Okay, move towards my voice," he said quietly.
I did as he said, and slid along the seat until he grasped my hand in his. He led me out of the truck and slammed the door when I was away from it.
"Okay, I'm going to have to make it look like I'm not soft towards you," he said. "Imm try not to be harsh, but I can't promise anything. If you haven't noticed, I'm not exactly the softest person."
Despite the situation, I let out a little laugh.
"Just do whatever you need to do, Jason. But if I die, I'm going to make sure my ghost haunts you."
Jason chuckled. "I'll be extra careful then."
He took my upper arm in his hand, probably making it look like he was treating me rough, but in actuality was really very gentle.
"McCann! Get your ass in here!" Alex's voice echoed throughout the area we were in.
Jason growled again. "I'm going to kill him."
I rolled my eyes, even though he couldn't see it because of the blindfold.
"Just go, Jason. I have to be home for dinner," I said.
I heard Jason breathe a laugh, and he tugged me lightly to get me waking.
"Remember, don't say anything unless I say so."
I nodded. I could feel an air change, and assumed we were in the building now.
"Put her in the chair over there and tie her up, Zach," Alex ordered. "And get my idiot brother out of here."
"I'm not leaving her," Jason snapped, standing his ground. I felt his grip tighten on my arm.
"Boss's orders," I heard Zach say from directly next to me.
Suddenly, I was ripped away from Jason, and flung forward. I hit the ground hard, letting out a squealed my head collided with concrete. Ouch!
I was then yanked upright and forced in a chair. I felt ropes being placed on my feet and hands, and the next thing I knew, I had my hands tied to the chair behind me, and my feet were tied to the legs of the chair. I didn't even get the chance to try to fight it.
"What are you doing?!" I heard Jason yell. It sounded like he was struggling against someone. "Dammit Alex, let me go!"
"She knows too much, little brother," Alex said in a taunting voice. "I said we needed you for a job, and this was the job. It was just out of convenience that she was there with you in the school."
I heard what sounded like a fist collide with skin, and two people start to fight.
"Zach, start it!" I heard Alex yell.
As I felt the presence of Zach move farther away from me, I tried to tug at my binds. They were tied in knots that would take me years to undo. I let out a huff of aggravation as I continued to pull at them, only succeeding in hurting my wrists and making he ropes dig into my skin creating what felt like cuts.
"Jason?" I called, despite being told not to say anything. This was really scaring me.
"It's set, Alex!" Zach called from a little ways across the room. I think, anyways. I still had my blindfold on so I couldn't see exactly where he was.
"We have four minutes to get at least 500 feet away!" Alex yelled. "Go!"
I was confused on what they were talking about until I heard it. It was a ticking noise.
The ticking of a bomb.
