The Most Dangerous Kind of Love 4
*Channing's POV*
The rest of the week was slow. All my classes were boring. Only a few people had even bothered to greet me. Surprisingly, that Jason kid was really the only person who had actually talked to me. Well, he did on my first day. He hasn't since then.
I had noticed throughout the week that no one really socialized with him. They all seemed... scared of him. That only confused me more.
Anyways, I had just arrived home that Friday, and immediately was greeted by two screaming, hyper teenage boys.
"Zane, what are you doing?!" I yelled.
He froze, as well as the other guy.
"Um, hey, Cha-Chi," Zane said uneasily. "Didn't know you were home yet."
I raised an eyebrow. "What are you doing?" I questioned.
"Indoor basketball," said Zane's friend.
"Whatever, just don't break anything," I said before walking upstairs to my room.
I set my backpack down in my desk chair and took a seat on my bed. I wanted to call someone to do something, but the one friend I made had some sort of lesson.
And then there was Jason. I didn't think I could consider him a friend, though.
Sure, he interested me - a lot - but there was something about him that radiated danger. A lot of danger.

The weekend ended too fast. The next Monday I was at my locker and put everything into it for the first time.
Jason walked by in the hallway, so I waved small, just trying to be friendly. All I got in return was another glare.
"You know," said a voice beside me. "I would stay as far away from him as you can."
I turned to find Sam. She was cool, and my new friend. When we first met, our conversation went something like this:
"Hi," she had said, sticking out her hand. "I'm Samantha. But you can call me Sam."
"Uh, hi," I said, shaking her hand. "I'm Channing."
"So, what's your schedule like?" she asked.
I had handed her the piece of paper, and she studied it.
"Damn, we only have four of the eight classes together," she sighed, handing it back to me.
"Well, that's not bad," I said. "What classes?"
"English, Science, French, and technology."
"That's good, I guess," I said. I just met her, and didn't really know what else to say.
"But anyways, I saw that you were paired with McCann for that English project," Sam continued as we started walking to first period. "I feel so bad for you."
"Why?" I asked as we arrived in the classroom.
Sam opened her mouth to say something, but the bell beat her to it.
"Tell you after," was all she said. She scurried off and took her seat in English as I did the same.
So that's how we met. She never did tell me, though, which only made me more curious.
"Hey," Jason whispered as I sat down next to him in English. Mrs. Phillips had started teaching, so that's why he whispered, I assumed.
"Hi," I whispered back. So now he was talking? Okay, he ignored me all last week.
