The Most Dangerous Kind of Love 12

Recap:
"You know," I said quietly. "When I was blindfolded, and I first heard the bomb ticking, I really thought you had left me. In those first few minutes, I mean, until you came to untie me."
"I wouldn't leave you there to die," he replied, his fingers brushing lightly over mine.
"I know that. I didn't at the time, but now I do. And I'm sorry for doubting you."
"No, I should be the one who's sorry," he said.
I laughed lightly. "So you've said. I think that's enough apologies on this subject for a while."
Jason chuckled at my statement, and nodded softly. "Okay. But I really, really am sorry that it happ-"
"Jason," I cut him off with a laugh, sitting up more so that I was facing him. "I know. It's okay. It's time to let it go."
Jason smiled softly at me. Yeah, this side of him I could get used to.
"You want to know the real reason I came back to save you?" he asked.
I nodded, and he pulled himself so that his face was an inch away from mine. His warm breath fanned over my nose, making me shudder slightly.
His piercing brown eyes were staring intently into mine, and I found myself unable to look away.
"Do you want to know?" he repeated.
"Yes," I whispered, glancing down at his lips briefly before meeting his eyes again.
He was silent for a second before saying, "It's because I'm starting to really like you."
And then he crashed his lips on mine.

Chapter 12
Our lips moved against each others in perfect sync. I don't believe in sparks or butterflies, but the way he made me feel was unbelievable. My stomach had that feeling in it that's similar to the feeling you get when you're in a car and you drop down over a hill and your stomach drops. It set my blood on fire.
Jason pulled away, and I opened my eyes to find him staring at me. He looked troubled.
"That... that shouldn't have happened," he said.
My heart fell. "What?"
He shook his head and pushed me away slightly. "This shouldn't have happened. It was a mistake."
Instead of feeling sad or upset like I probably should be feeling, I only felt mad. Completely and utterly pissed off.
My gaze turned hard, and I stood up faster than I ever had. A mix of emotions were passing over Jason's face: confusion, anger, indecision.
"Fuck you," I growled. "I can't believe I fell for that. All of this. You've been using me this whole time!"
"Wait, no! Channing, I didn't mean-"
I raised my hand and slapped him across the face, effectively cutting him off.
"Don't play with my emotions like that," I spat out. To think that he could actually have feelings for me was a mistake on my behalf. He was Jason. And Jason wasn't going to change. Not for me.
I stormed towards the door, but only got halfway when I felt a firm grasp on my wrist.
"Dammit Channing, will you just let me explain?!" Jason nearly yelled, backing me up against the wall. My back and the wall met, and Jason pushed his hips flush against mine so I was trapped with nowhere to go.
