Chapter 7: TUBING!!!

Emma's POV
"It's time to get up!" I heard guy voices yell along with a girl voice.

"Noooooo." I whined, pulling the cover over my head.

"It's time to go on my boat!" Kenzie shook me.

"What boat?" I asked annoyed.

"The President of the United States' boat." She said annoyed. "My boat."

"Okay." I heard Ashton's voice say with a sigh. "You're going to have to get up the easy way...or the hard way...which will it be, Princess?"

I remained laying there. What's he going to do? Spray me with silly string?

"The hard way it is."

I still laid there, motionless.

I heard a splash before ice cold took over my entire body, making me shiver uncontrollably before sitting up quickly.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH YOUR LIFE?" I shouted at Ashton while he just stood there laughing. "I will end you!"

"That's a threat." Was all he said.

I took the covers off myself before jumping onto him, tackling him to the floor while he made girly screams.

I felt four pairs of hands grip onto me, lifting me off the boy and dropping me onto the bed.

Before I could get back up, Michael and Calum quickly sat on me, restraining me from moving.

"I don't like you guys anymore." I mumbled.

"We will let you go as long as you don't try to kill Ashton." Kenzie folded her arms.

"Yeah. It was Kenzie's idea to pour the bucket of ice water on you anyway." Luke smirked.

"I will get you, Kenzie." I glared at her.

"Why not now like you did to me?" Ashton frowned.

"Because you were the one that actually did it. Now get out so I can get into my bathing suit." I said, irritably.

"Fine, grumpy pants." Michael chuckled as they all walked out.

We all stepped out onto Kenzie's parents' speed boat. There were A LOT of us, so Kenzie was squeezed between Luke and Michael and I was next to Calum and Ashton on the small seat at the front. Then Kenzie's dad was driving the boat and her mum sat on the longer seat in the back.

I watched Kenzie and Luke talk loudly to each other, over the loud noise of the fast moving boat.

I don't know if they're together or not. They may not seem like it, but they are private people and probably would feel awkward being around all their friends while being together and then have being friends before.

I know Kenzie almost more than she knows herself and she feels weird about that stuff.

Kenzie's dad slowed the boat down. "Who wants to go on the tube?"

I got really excited. Me and Kenzie go on the tube together all the time. Except we have to go straight because she gets motion sickness and all that stuff so we can't be swung all over the place.

"Emma, want to go?" Kenzie asked excitedly.

"You know I do!" I got up with her and headed to the back of the boat to put on life jackets while her dad got the tube out.

All the boys came to the back and sat next to her mum on the seat.

When the large tube was in the water and the rope was secured tightly, I jumped in and Kenzie jumped in after.

The tube was the kinds that you could just sit in. I feel safer in it.

We sat in the float with my leg on hers as we got ready to freak out.

When it got really going, we began to scream.

"If I die! I was the one that stole the $5 out of your bag, Emma!!" Kenzie screamed to me.

"What?!" I shouted back.

"I'm sorry!"

Then the float was brought to the other side.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Kenzie screamed to her father. "I WILL THROW UP ALL OVER YOU GUYS!" She yelled, making the boys and her mum laugh.

When the boat stopped, we rolled out of the raft to let someone else on.

When I was on the boat, Ashton yelled "Emma don't you dare take that life vest on because I want to go on it with you!"

"Okay, then." I laughed.

Once he had the life jacket on, I jumped into the tube, and he did the same, but made sure not to fall on me.

"Do you want to do all the turns and swings?" Kenzie's dad asked.

"Do you?" Ashton looked at me.

I nodded with a grin on my face.

We waited for the boat to get going and when it did, I thought I was going to be tossed.

We were screaming and yelling and shouting random things and he'd put his legs on top of mine because he knew that I was actually really scared.

We received a lot of weird looks from other people on other boats but we didn't really care. I think Ashton was going to poop his pants he was so terrified.

Then, there was this very strong turn that flipped the tube, right as we fell into the water, I felt a large hand grasp onto mine.

We both bobbed up and I saw that the boat was just about to turn. I also noticed that my hand was still holding Ashton's.

We both looked at each other quickly let go.

"That was...fun.." I said awkwardly.

"Yeah. And pretty terrifying." He chuckled.

"Yeah." I laughed.

When the boat came back to us, they let the ladder down.

"Ladies first."

"Thanks." I mumbled, climbing up onto the boat.

When he started up, I extended my arm out and he grabbed my hand and I pulled him up.

The rest of the day was hilarious! I went on the tube with Calum and then Michael, and then Luke and then Ashton again and all we did was scream and sing at the top of our lungs and hug each other.

Luke and Kenzie went on the tube together and she kept falling on him. They were hugging each other and screaming and Luke looked terrified every time she yelled that she was going to throw up.

We all sat on the boat as Kenzie's father drove us back to the marina.

We all talked loudly, but one voice stood out to me. That voice was Ashton's.

"Emma, will you go on a date with me?"
