Chapter 18: Peter and Wendy pt. 1

Ashton's POV
Once I got the uncomfortable costume off, I got into my usual clothes and walked out of the bathroom to find Anna waiting outside for me.

"Hey Ashton." She smiled.

"Uh, hey." I replied kind of surprised that she was there.

"So...you asked Emma to the dance?"

"Yeah, I did. Why?"

"I thought you guys decided to just be friends."

I frowned. "Friends can go to a dance together right?"

"Yeah"

"Yeah. Anyway, I'll see you later."

"Okay." She smiled at me and walked away.

I don't understand her.

Shaking off how weird she acted, I went to find Emma.

When I spotted her, she was talking to Grace Peters. She's the image that pops into your head when you hear the word 'popular girl'. (A/N: no offense to popular girls:) it's just the stereotypical movie ones:))

She has bright blonde hair, pink lipstick, girly, and quite the queen bee..so yeah..I don't understand how Emma can tolerate her.

Grace must have sensed my presence because it took no time for her to get this disgusted look when she looked my way.

"Anyway, so she started spreading that rumor about me and I've never been so mad." She said like she was about to punch somebody. "I gotta go deal with this, bye Emma."

"Bye Grace." Emma waved at her and then walked to me. "Hey Peter Pan." She smiled.

"Hello Wendy." I smiled. "After the dance, me, The Lost Boys and Tinker Bell are going to have our own small party. Would you like to attend?"

"I would love too. But why is it that I usually get invited to things last?" She laughed.

"I don't know actually."

                      Dance night
Emma's POV
I checked my long baby blue dress in the mirror, smoothing out any ruffles with my hands before looking at my loose curls that were pulled back in blue ribbon and making sure that my baby pink lipstick was just right then sat on my couch and waited for a big van of ninja turtle and couple costumes.

Hearing a knock on my front door, I jumped up, trying to calm myself from how excited I was and went to open it.

Swinging the door open, I saw a dashing Peter Pan with those mesmerizing eyes and dimples that could make your heart melt and oh my goodness what am I saying?

He took my hand in his and said "Off to Neverland!"

I sat in the passenger side next to him and looked back to see Calum and Michael fighting over who knows what and Luke and Kenzie holding hands and talking.

When we arrived at the school, Ashton did this thing that reminded me of Footloose where he made it his mission to open the door for me.

We all walked into the gym together and instead of walking to my other friends, we just hung out together. I didn't mind that anyway; the others have been all drama for a few days.

Luke and Kenzie looked cute. They were dressed as I think a dead couple..not like zombies but Kenzie was wearing a white dress that had rips at the bottom and fake blood on it and fake gashes on her arms which had powder to make them look paler and make her look more dead. Then her face was pale and had darker place on her cheeks to make them look more dead so yeah and then her hair was messy with a dirty veil on it.

Then Luke wore a suit with rips in it as well and the same with the face to make him look dead so yeah. They looked scary but cute.

I noticed that Anna didn't even pay attention to Ashton because oh would you look at that, she was with Sam.

I looked at Ashton who was doing weird dances and smiling at me, making my heart flutter.

Oh my goodness.

Catching me off guard considering the small trance I was in, I was being pulled out onto the dance floor when Total Eclipse of the Heart came on.

Ashton placed my hand on his shoulder and his one hand on the middle of my waist and then took my free hand in his.

"Please forgive me if I step on your foot.." He smiled at me.

"You're good."

"Are you ready for the Halloween party?"

"Yes I am."
