Emma's POV
I limped around the kitchen with my crutches to get ready for Ashton to come. He finally asks me to help him study and I want to make sure that this goes well.I put my book bag beside the table and and sat pencils and stuff on the on it too.
When the doorbell rang, I hopped over, leaving my crutches and opened the door.
"Emma, where are your crutches?" Ashton scolded me.
"I didn't feel like getting them." I shrugged.
"Yeah, well I'm sure you don't feel like falling and dying either!" He over exaggerated.
"Calm down Ashton." I laughed. "You're acting like a boyfriend or something."
"Maybe I want to be your boyfriend." He smirked, making me slightly blush.
"Come in." I changed the subject. I stepped aside and opened the door more to let him in.
Before he walked passed me, he picked me up bridal style and went over to the kitchen table where he sat me on a chair.
"Where's your back pack?" I asked when he sat next to me.
"I forgot it." He shrugged.
"Are you kidding me?" I raised my eyebrows.
"No?"
"Ashton, you said that you wanted to study today." I whined.
"Oh, must have forgotten the 'date' part."
"A study date involves studying you know that right?"
*******
"This is so boring." Ashton complained as he wrote down the equation on notebook paper."Stop being such a baby." I laughed.
"Can we take a break? This does NOT feel like a date."
"Well what feels like a date?" I chuckled.
"One second. Give me your phone." He held his hand out and I just raised my eyebrows. "Please?"
I gave in and handed him my phone and he unlocked it, already knowing the password and then messed around with it until my favorite song, They Don't Know About Us came on and Ashton got up and reached his hand out to me.
"Would you like to dance?"
"Remember, I can't walk." I smirked.
"I know." He smiled, lifting me from the chair bridal style and started spinning me around slowly.
"You're so cheesy." I laughed.
"Only about you." He winked.
"I don't believe that makes sense."
"Sure it does. When it comes to you, I'm cheesy and am romantic."
"Okay." I laughed.
"Aren't we cute?" Ashton chuckled.
"Sure."
*******
"Ashton, we're supposed to be studying." I laughed at his childishness."No, we're supposed to be building a fort."
Ashton got a couple chairs from the kitchen and then some foldable chairs from all over the house and a bunch of blankets from bedrooms and then my comforter.
We've already built the fort and it's pretty big. We're putting pillows and blankets on the inside so we can hang out in it.
Once we'd decorated the fort to our satisfaction and crawled in.
I had brought a portable DVD player and we put in Pitch Perfect (don't judge) and sang along to every word.
When the movie ended, we just kind of laid on the blankets and got to know each other.
"When did you have your first kiss?" I asked curiously.
"I was 16." He smiled.
"Really?" I asked surprised.
"Yeah. You?"
"I haven't had my first kiss..." I whispered, kind of embarrassed. 17 years and all I've kissed was baby cousins and my One Direction posters.
"You haven't?"
"Nope."
"I don't believe that."
"Why's that?"
"You're just so pretty!"
"Eh." I scrunched up my nose.
"I know why you haven't had your first kiss:"
"Why?"
"You like to play hard to get."
"No I don't. I am hard to get!" I laughed punching his arm.
"Feisty! I like it!" He laughed while tickling me.
"Stooooopppp!!" I whined. "You're such a butt!"
I grabbed his hands and held them away from me as we laughed.
When I realized that he'd laced his fingers with mine, I froze and we got silent.
"So, you've never had your first kiss?" He asked barely above a whisper.
I slowly shook my head and watched as he started to lean in.
I found myself leaning in too until our lips met. We kissed for a couple seconds until we pulled away.
He looked down and then back at me with a grin. "I'm not gonna lie. That was the best kiss I ever had."
My cheeks turned red in agreement.
Out of nowhere, his hands cupped my face and pressed his lips against mine.
"Will you be my girlfriend?"
