Derlyn Enterprises – Late Night

The moonlight filters through the high-rise windows of Alex’s office. He’s sitting at his desk, his focus on the computer screen displaying the confidential surveillance report Mason sent over. His sharp eyes scan every detail.

Alex: (to himself) Kane, if you’ve betrayed me, you’ve made the biggest mistake of your life!

The sound of his office door opening breaks his concentration. Mason walks in, holding a manila folder.

Mason: I’ve got more. You were right about Kane being suspicious. This just came in.

Mason places the folder on Alex’s desk. Inside are images from the surveillance team: Ethan meeting a mysterious individual at a secluded café, passing a USB drive discreetly across the table.

Alex: (leaning forward) Who’s the other guy?

Mason: We don’t have an ID yet, but our team is running facial recognition. Looks like Kane isn’t working alone.

Alex: (his voice low and threatening) Of course, he isn’t. This isn’t just about ambition. It’s personal.

Mason hesitates, sensing Alex’s rising anger.

Mason: What do you want me to do next?

Alex: (after a pause) Keep Kane under tighter surveillance. I want to know every step he takes. And find out who that man is.

Mason nods and exits the room, leaving Alex alone with his thoughts. He closes his eyes and leans back in his chair, his mind clouded with questions.

Siya’s Apartment – Morning

Siya is enjoying a cup of coffee, flipping through her sketchbook filled with designs for an art exhibition she’s planning. Her phone buzzes with a call from Alex. She picks up instantly, her voice cheerful.

Siya: (smiling) Good morning, Mr. Romantic.

Alex: (chuckling) Morning, Ms. Blush Queen.

Siya: (playfully) What’s the plan today? Are we meeting today?

Alex: (teasingly) Not today, love. I have some work to handle, but I’ll pick you up for dinner later. Sound good?

Siya: (smiling) Perfect.

As they end the call, Siya’s face lights up. She starts planning what to wear for their dinner together.

Derlyn Enterprises – Conference Room

Alex enters the conference room, where the core security team is waiting for him. A large screen displays a map, tracing the recent movements of the attacker’s accomplice.

Lead Security Officer: (pointing at the screen) The individual Kane met has been spotted at multiple locations linked to recent sabotage attempts. Most notably, he was seen outside our main warehouse last night.

Alex: (clenching his jaw) So, they’ve been watching me closely.

Lead Security Officer: (nodding) It’s clear they’re targeting you directly.

Alex: (after a moment of silence) Increase security at all critical locations. No one gets through without clearance.

Kane’s Apartment – Night

Kane is pacing in his living room, visibly agitated. His phone rings, and he answers immediately.

Unknown Caller: (on the phone) Does he suspect?

Kane: (nervously) I don’t know. Alex is smart, but he hasn’t confronted me yet.

Unknown Caller: He’s watching you. Be careful.

Kane: (sighing) This was supposed to be simple. Now it’s turning into a mess.

Unknown Caller: (firmly) Just stick to the plan. Don’t screw this up.

Kane ends the call, his hands trembling. He pours himself a drink, trying to steady his nerves.

Alex’s Penthouse – Midnight

Alex is sitting on the balcony, the city lights twinkling in the distance. He’s holding a photo of Siya, her radiant smile calming him amidst the storm brewing around him. Mason enters quietly.

Mason: (clearing his throat) Alex, we’ve identified the man Kane met.

Alex turns, his expression sharp.

Alex: Who is he?

Mason: (handing over a file) A former employee. Fired years ago for leaking sensitive company data. Name’s Victor Lark.

Alex: (his voice ice-cold) Victor. Of course.

Mason waits for Alex’s response, but Alex simply stares at the file, his mind already forming a plan.

Alex: (finally speaking) If Victor is involved, this goes deeper than I thought. It’s not just Kane. They’re coming for everything I’ve built.

Mason nods, his face set with determination.

Mason: What’s the next move?

Alex: (standing) We go silent. No more chasing them. Let them come to us. And when they do… (his eyes darken) we’ll end it.
