sophie sat cross-legged on the couch, her knee bouncing anxiously as she sipped on her iced coffee. tori was sprawled out next to her, still in her pajamas, watching her with an amused expression.

"you know, for someone who acts like she doesn’t care about football stats, you sure are losing your mind over this game," tori teased, stretching her arms over her head.

"i care when it’s him," sophie muttered, adjusting the sleeve of joe’s hoodie—her permanent comfort piece. "his wrist has been bothering him, and if he plays like shit, people are gonna drag him. i don’t want him to feel like he’s letting anyone down."

tori sighed, sitting up and nudging sophie with her knee. "girl, he’s joe burrow. he could throw five interceptions and still have half the city writing love letters to him."

sophie huffed. "i know, but still. i just hate that he doesn’t feel 100%. he won’t even say it, but i know."

"of course you do, you’re obsessed with him."

"and?"

tori rolled her eyes, then suddenly clapped her hands together. "okay, enough stress. let’s get ready. looking hot is always the answer to anxiety."

sophie groaned but let tori drag her off the couch and into the bedroom, where the mess of potential outfit options was already taking over her bed.

"okay, you have options," tori said, sifting through the pile. "classic jersey moment? or do you wanna be that wag today?"

sophie snorted. "what does that mean?"
