Sevika isn’t the type for grand gestures. She doesn’t do flowers, doesn’t do soft words. But gifts? Small, quiet ones? That’s different.

She’s had this damn thing for weeks now, tucked away in a drawer, hidden like it’s something shameful.

Every time she opens the drawer, she stares at it, tsking at herself. Ridiculous.

But she still doesn’t get rid of it.

You have no idea. She’s careful about that.

You’re always yapping about something, talking about your day, your thoughts, that one trinket you saw at the market but didn’t buy—

That’s how she ended up with the damn thing in the first place.

You had stopped, fingers brushing over it, admiration obvious in your eyes. But you walked away, said "Maybe next time."

Sevika didn’t think twice before circling back and buying it.

She kept it hidden, waiting for the right moment—except the right moment never came.

Until now.

You’re curled up in her bed, half-asleep, your face buried in the pillow.

She stands there, arms crossed, scowling at herself. Just give it to her. It’s not that hard.

She drops it beside you on the bed, gruffly muttering, "For you." before you even register what’s happening.

You blink up at her, still groggy, confusion flickering across your face. "Huh?"

"Don’t make a thing out of it," she warns, already turning away.

But you’re awake now, sitting up, picking it up, eyes wide. "Sevika… this is—"

"Yeah, yeah. You wanted it, so I got it. No big deal."

You smile, soft and warm, and she feels like a damn idiot for the way it makes her chest tighten.

You launch yourself at her, arms wrapped around her middle, pressing a kiss to her jaw. "You’re such a softie."

"Tch. Say that again and I’m taking it back."

But her arm stays firm around your waist, and she doesn’t make a move to let go.
