Back at Assassin's maze.
Ryder went deeper into the maze and both his steps and enthusiasm grew bigger and bigger while he gets closer to a podium at the end of the maze. He was much elated when he finally reached the podium and saw the book which had something written in its leathery brown cover, "Book of Shadows". Without hesitation, he opened and scrolled through the book, conveniently, it had its content titles in the first pages. The first chapter he saw was for the "Cursed Souls" which he immediately scrolled to. It contains the names of those who had been reaped by the group, Sophia, Arthuro, Neil, and even Logan and his whole family was all written there in separate pages, but what confused and angered Ryder was the two names that he saw on the last few pages of that chapter.
"My suspicions were right after all, this damned group is responsible for my brother's death. Your end is nearing!"
In the page was written;

He proceeded to scroll to another page but before he could even finish, he heard footsteps nearing him. Though afraid, he is determined to kill just to save himself and have revenged so he pulled the pocket knife that James gave him earlier and abruptly looked back, ready to charge towards the owner of the footsteps but he stopped when he saw who it is.
"You startled me!" Ryder said.
"Why are you pointing your knife at me, there were only two of us inside this maze, you know?" he said before looking at the podium, "Anyway, have you found out something?"
Ryder explained what he saw but just a few sentences into his account, they saw the walls of the maze rearranged themselves. They looked at each other and knew what it meant so they no longer wasted more time and scrolled through the book again, there they found a chapter entitled Curse of The Dark. They read through it but what shocked them more was a revelation, written;
The curse is bestowed to those who have powers that belonged to Takipsilim. It is like a poison in the heart that slowly rots the person, turning him into a ruthless monster that brings death.
Yet before they could process what they learned and scroll further, the walls of the mazed rearranged themselves again which means that there are already two more people who entered the maze other than Ryder and James.
"Ryder, we must go already or we may get cornered if more enters!" James told Ryder before pulling his arms, but before Ryder got pulled away by James, he was able to scroll to the next page which had the title Gift of Light.
They ran fast while not letting their hands off the wall so that they could immediately find their way out of the maze. James suddenly stopped before whispering to Ryder.
"This could be our end!"
"Why?" Ryder whispered back before looking at the way they'll turn to, but he soon regretted peaking. "I think Anonymous saw me?" he whispered to James, flustered and shaking.
"HEY, IS ANYBODY THERE?" they heard Kill ask then it is followed by the sound of footsteps going towards them, the footsteps got louder and louder until... the maze rearranged itself again.
Both James and Ryder breathed hard before running through the exit which fortunately showed right in front of them after the rearrangement. They no longer took a rest with their running when they got out as they rush to get into Ryder's room.
Minutes passed before they safely arrived at Ryder's room. Both were reaching for they breaths after running but before they could even rest and process what they learned, they were shocked to see a new object that had been placed above Ryder's table, a mask with a note attached to it.
