"THE scarlet one," turo ni Cormac gamit ang nguso nito.

"You mean the carmine," pagtatama ni Diana rito sabay tingin sa mga rosas.

"The English roses, baby. The red colored one," pagpupumilit ni Cormac at naghintay na iabot niya iyon.

"The English roses are carmine, not scarlet. The scarlet is the Ground Cover Roses," Diana pointed out, comparing them side by side.

"The English roses and Ground Cover is literally the same color, baby," pamimilit ni Cormac at maiging tingnan ito. "Wala akong nakitang pagkakaiba. Hell, I don't even know what Carmine is. All I know is it was red. They are a little darker so it's scarlet."

"They are not. It is true that scarlet is darker than red, but carmine is in between the red and scarlet. Mistaking carmine and scarlet is the same as mistaking crow and onyx," pagtatama ni Diana rito kaya napapantastikuhang napatingin lamang ito sa kanya.

"Baby, I can't even relate to what you are talking about. Are you some kind of color expert?" natatawang tanong nito at saka lumapit sa kanya. "And I can't believe you are pissed. Para kang isang pintor na nagagalit sa tuwing namamali ng label ang isang kulay."

Tahimik na napanguso lamang si Diana rito at umingos "I just had enough knowledge of colors that's why I know."

"Okay okay, understood. Now, can you pass me the carmine one?" Cormac condeded with a smirk and she handed him the English Roses. "I think this is the one I wanted to see in the masterpiece for my birthday later. Kakulay kasi ito ng labi mo. Speaking of my birthday, I can't wait to have your gift. I mean, your gift is the only reason why I agree to celebrate."

Diana shook her head in amusement. "You will have it later, don't worry. It's not big, but I did put a lot of effort into it."

"Big or small, as long as it's from you, it's fine..." wika nito sabay yumukod palapit sa kanya. When he leaned down for a kiss, she immediately stopped him by jerking her head towards the mansion. "Oh, right. Others are preparing in the house. Noong nagpaalam ka mamitas ng bulalak sa greenhouse, nagpaalam ako na may gagawin ako saglit para makasama ka. Seeing you with Mike in my house, laughing and talking with him makes my head boil. I am mad that I can't do all the things he freely does."

"Cormac—"

"I know, baby, I know. But can you blame me?" tanong nito sabay idinikit ang noo nito sa kanyang noo. "I want you for my own, Diana. All the time. Every day. Gusto ko kapag gising ko, ikaw ang nakikita ko. Gusto ko kapag tulog ko, ikaw ang huling nakikita ko. I am the Cormac Castellano and yet I wanted to be Mike so bad just so I can be with you all the time. Nilalamon ako ng selos. Pinapatay ako ng galit. Gusto kitang lapitan kanina pero hindi ko magawa dahil may mga tao."

Napabuntong-hininga si Diana at tinagpo ang mga mata nitong puno nang pag-aasam. "I want the same, Cormac. Gusto kitang kausapin kanina. Gusto kitang hawakan kanina, halikan, lapitan ng ganito... pero alam kong hindi iyon puwede."

"How long do we have to do this?" tanong ni Cormac para mariing maipikit na lamang si Diana sa kanyang kinatatayuan.

Diana couldn't endure the frustration building inside her so she kissed Cormac on the lips, slowly, softly, just to prove how much she desired him more than anything else. And then she pulled back from the kiss before she couldn't stop herself.

Inabot niya ang mga pinutol niyang rosas at inwasan si Cormac sa loob ng greenhouse. Halos napalukso sa gulat nang makasalubong niya si Gio pabalik sa mansion.
