Preface:
I stared at the two men standing just in front of me, one’s eyes blazing intently with their golden yellow color and the other’s medium brown eyes glowing with sadness. Now that I have what I really wanted I couldn’t understand how I could have chosen that path to begin with.
“Please Bella,” the over one hundred year old vampire pleaded as he took a step forward, raising one of his hands towards my direction. This enraged me, another predator coming into my territory. I released a growl warning him not to take another step.
“Please Bells it doesn’t have to be this way,” added the werewolf sounding just like the vampire.
“Bella you can come home with us and things will be the same again,” the vampire said.
“Oh I think that it isn’t that simple anymore,” called the smooth voice- from the dark shadows behind me- that has become very familiar to me. The vampire standing beside the werewolf growled as my master’s sudden appearance.
I glanced over my shoulder as I watched him emerged with his bodyguard, along with his brother Marcus, and their two wives. He looked passed me towards the other vampire and smiled towards him. They stopped just on the edge of the open alley looking at the enemies.
“I see my dear had found some trash,” he grinned. “Why don’t you take care of that and we can go home,” he said as they turned and left- gliding back into the shadows heading towards my new home.
I faced them again, my newborn state kicking in as the animal side took over. I crouched down and sprang forward, my hands clawed- like, pointing straight towards their throats…
