Chapter 6- Accepting

“Well my dear I do believe that you’re finally accepting what you actually are and have become, but I had no doubt in that though,” said my master. I was in the grand hall with the leaders at the Volturi’s throne, standing before the ancient vampires- my arms crossed behind my back as I stared at Aro- as each of them studied my every move closely.

“And let’s not forget about her power, Aro,” added Alec standing along with the other main members of the guard against the right wall. They all resembled flawless statues, not moving- remaining perfectly still.

“Ah yes of course, can’t forget about that important detail,” chimed in Aro beaming towards me, as he held his cupped hands and with an almost alien expression-which has became very familiar to me.

Then suddenly his face disappeared and I saw a glimpse of white light. At first when this happened I freaked out; however, now it has become second nature to me and knew what was taking place.

“Master they’re trying again,” I said very quietly- finally remembering that with our vampire senses we can hear the tiniest noise- now as the light vanished and Aro’s face had became once again part of my sight.

“Again? My dear will you block them,” wished Aro.

“Yes my child will you please demonstrate your new power for us once again,” Marcus requested.

I let my focus drop, letting the grand room filled with the ancients staring at me- disappeared into the background as my sight became black. Suddenly I could see the setting of them as they were all hovering around the psychic, who looked half-crazed, as she tried to locate me again and my new family. All of the Cullens were there expect for one, apparently he’s still afraid to deal with his problems back home.

Then I could see some of the tension vanish as the lines started to slowly disappear one by one from her forehead, showing that she was starting to see me. A small sneer flashed across my face as I casted out my power, letting the shielding force escape my mind and outward till it covered the large room. I watched the last bit of the scene back in Forks as the pixie started losing it, muttering and began to shake like she was having a seizure.

Now letting the power continue on for the next several minutes, I began focusing on the present, as a full smirked stretched across my lips. I blinked to still find everyone staring at me, Aro completely grinning from ear to ear like a proud parent.

“Truly strange and astonishing,” beamed Aro. “What do you think of Bella Marcus?” he asked never taking his gaze off of me.

“She’s just as you said she was my brother, just perfect- the perfect ideal weapon,” approved Marcus.

“Yes she most certainly is,” added Aro. Out of my side view, I saw Jane moved just barely like she was upset about what they were talking about and maybe she wanted to speak out against it but knew better of it.

Ever since Aro has spent the last two days helping and training with me on developing my new power, Jane has become jealous and afraid that I will take her spot as Aro's right hand person- and she should be.

I turned my head towards the right and gave her a little sideways smirk, just to infuriate her. She stared at me with wide eyes and her mouth fell open like she couldn’t believe that I just did that. But she quickly regained her posture knowing that she could not harm me because Aro would have her killed and I was much stronger than her.

“I think I’m going to cancel our practice today Bella, because my dear you’re looking a little thirsty,” said Aro.

The eternal thirst had not even crossed my mind, because I was getting under Jane’s skin-which has brought me great pleasure-but now that Aro has brought it up I could feel it pulsing under the skin at my throat. It feels as if I could drink an ocean full of water to try to calm it down with the coolness, but it would never work.
