In The End....

Chapter 14- in the end

“I can’t do anything with my hair,” I overheard my daughter’s voice as I stepped into the room. We were at the Cullen’s house in one of the downstairs’ bedrooms. “Aunt Alice can you save it?” she added sounding distressed.

“Yes Nessie, can you help me Rose?”

I closed the door after me and just stood there watching Alice, with the assists of Rosalie, as she worked her magic. I noticed that her pale white hands moved swiftly and carefully as she pilled Vanessa’s hair up on top of her head in an elegant style.

“I can do the rest Rose, can you finish her makeup?” asked Alice. Rosalie started applying the eye shadow as Alice began slightly curling the ends of the hair that was sticking out of the pile.

It didn’t take them long as they moved in vampire speed, but everything was perfect just as always in anything they touch. I saw Esme as she was putting the last few touches on the flower bouquet. She was smiling, completely happy as usual, while she tied a ribbon around the base of them.

“Mother?”

I glanced up seeing that my daughter had spotted me in the background of the mirror. She grinned up at me as she just glowed- a perfect figure of my sun, her father in his youth when I first married him and still looks to me just like that and those perfect days. I smiled back as I started moving towards her as she was sitting at the vanity that Alice must have bought just for the special occasion.

“Hey Nessie,” I said as I stopped just behind her looking at her in the mirror’s reflection.

“Alright, you’re finished,” stated Alice stepping back.

Vanessa stood up and the beautiful white dress fell down around her feet. It was Alice’s creation that was designed to highlight Vanessa tall and skinny figure perfectly. She turned around looking at me and smiled her sheepish grin just like Jacob’s.

“Well how do I look?” she questioned.

“You look absolutely beautiful!” squealed Alice as she held her hands together in front of her and almost jumped up and down in excitement.

“Yes I would say that she does pull it off well being a werewolf and all,” joked Rosalie as she grinned towards Vanessa, who returned the smirk.

“Well I think that she’s just stunning,” added Esme, she had moved over to us sitting the flowers on top of the vanity surface and stood beside Alice, smiling at my daughter.

“What do you think Mother?” Vanessa asked wanting a mother’s opinion.

I turned towards her and stared her straight in the eyes as I replied. “Vanessa I couldn’t be any more proud of you. You are without a doubt the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. I am so glad to say that you are my daughter that I get to claim you as mine and tell everyone, that’s my daughter. And I’m so happy that you found Seth, I couldn’t have chosen anyone better that would take care of my baby any better than Seth would.”
