To say Uzi was displeased would be an astronomical understatement. She had been captured. Ambushed, knocked out and dragged off to some dingy hole. Again. Though this time things appeared to be orders of magnitude worse.

For one, whatever had hit her was no mere EMP, and recovering from it was proving to be a chore. Her thoughts were sluggish, her body completely unresponsive and her system took forever to follow even the most basic commands. At first she thought it was some kind of virus, but a "quick" diagnostic revealed something much simpler: her storage was full. So full that her OS didn't have the resources to properly run and crashed, locking her in a bootloop until her startup processes managed to clear enough space.

Uzi had fallen victim to what was essentially a Zip Bomb; one of the most rudimentary "hacks" in the book. She had no idea how, but the damage had been done and all she could do was wait for her system to purge the excess data.

'Alright, not much to work with, but I'm not dead so that's something,' the alt girl thought as she looked around as much as she could with barely-functional optics. 'Paralyzed, strapped to a table in a secret lab who-the-hell-knows how far underground, with a magnet stuck to my head.'

Maybe the whole "not dead" thing wasn't as much of a win as she thought.

Luckily, whoever kidnapped her didn't seem to be in a hurry to get the party started; according to her clock, she'd been taken almost exactly fifteen minutes ago and she was still in one piece. So she just laid there, literally counting the minutes until she could do more than move her eyes, and avoiding thinking about what else might have happened after she got got.

'They're fine. Erik, Nick and Thad are with them, there's enough guns for everyone and now they know how to use the...' Uzi's thoughts trailed off when she heard the familiar hiss of a door sliding open.

Uzi turned her head to look, though it didn't actually happen until about seven seconds later. Of all the things she expected to see, a deranged survivor, a leftover experiment, maybe even a human hiding out where the toxic air and deadly cold couldn't reach them; a goddamn DINOSAUR wasn't anywhere on the list.

But there it was, all teeth and claws, and...design flaws. Minimal armor, exposed wires and tubes everywhere, and even though it had eight eyes, six of them were placed in the sides of its head and too deeply recessed to possibly look forward or back. Only the two smallest eyes faced forward, along with a full-on spotlight smack in the middle of its head.

It clearly wasn't meant for real combat, but for exactly what it was doing now: stalking helpless prey and getting easy kills.

The creature gave a little hiss and crept forward with exaggerated movements, making a show of twitching its claws and flashing its teeth. Acknowledging it had been seen and letting her know it didn't matter. It then froze when a louder hiss came from the corner of the room, and a second later another robo-raptor came sliding into her field of view and parked itself between them. It shrieked at the first one, eyes burning red as its long tail whipped around above Uzi's head.

The blue-eyed creature hopped back to get some distance, but didn't back down, giving a challenging screech of its own. Then, just when it looked like they were about to come to blows, the door hissed open again.

Red suddenly backed up closer to Uzi, blocking her view of what happened next. She saw Blue being lifted into the air and felt it being slammed into the floor, jolting the entire room enough to knock dust from the ceiling. It gave out a kind of warbling whimper and she could see it flailing its limbs as it tried to get up, only to go limp as another impact was heard and felt. It was then followed by a roar to rival anything Uzi had ever heard from N, overloading her audials and causing Red to flinch. Seconds later Blue suddenly scrambled to its feet and ran out of the room, bashing its body into the doorframe in its haste to escape. There was a low snort and Red went back to wherever it came from, allowing Uzi her first look at her "savior".
