A MONTH LATER, y/n and suna were going to dinner and he claimed he was going to go through with his big elaborate plan.

y/n wore a long red dress with her long hair curled into beachy waves. her makeup done impeccably. suna knocked on the door. "can i come in?" he asked softly.

"yeah" she replied, rummaging through her makeup bag for her lip liner and lipstick. y/n heard the door click and suna walked in.

his breath hitched as he watched her apply her lip products. y/n caught his gaze through the mirror and laughed lightly. "are you just gonna stand there?" she asked. suna was pulled out of his gaze and walked over to her.

"how does it feel to be graduated from university?" he asked, putting his hands on her waist. "well" she sighed, and opened up her tube of lipstick. "it feels kind of freeing. but the process of handing over the company starts soon. i'm nervous" she admitted.

"you'll do great mrs future ceo" he teased. "i hope so" she sighed.

"you look beautiful" he complimented, taking a delicate handful of her hair and moving it to the other side of her shoulder. suna planted a gentle kiss on her neck, and moved her hair back to its original place. "you clean up nice too. you always have" y/n replied.

she put her lip products into her purse and turned around. "how are you twenty six now and you still can't tie your tie properly?" y/n sighed, taking the cloth in her hand and redoing the knot.

"thank you for fixing it sweetheart" he mumbled.

what she didn't know was that he purposely does it incorrectly just so she can fix it. "as long as we're together i'll always fix it for you" she smiled.

y/n walked back to the bed and grabbed her purse. "you ready to leave?" she asked, unplugging her phone from the charger. "it's seven thirty" she commented.

"let's get you downstairs then" he said.

the two walked down the stairs and put on their shoes before locking up the house.

suna put a copy of his keys, buried in the ash tray sitting on the front porch for the twins to come and set more things up in the house.

the drive to the restaurant was quiet, but comfortable. suna's hand rested on y/n's thigh, and y/n was looking at the restaurants menu. "hey, they're serve roast this weekend your favourite" y/n said.

suna took his eyes off the road momentarily and glanced at her. "yeah? i'll probably get that then. do they have those cheesy potatoes skins? the ones that we usually get for apps? they usually only sell it on wednesday"

"let me check" she hummed, scrolling back up to the appetizers. "oh yeah they do. that's odd, when we went there a few weeks ago they didn't have it" she shrugged.

minutes later they arrived at the restaurant and got seated immediately. after ordering their wine and appetizers, they made their way to the entree menu. "this surf n turf looks good. i heard the crab and lobster catches have been good recently" y/n said.

"who'd you hear that from?" he asked. "my dad. he came here the other night and the owner, my uncle, said that the catches have been good recently" she replied.

the waiter came back around with their potato skins and melted brie cheese with bread.

they placed their orders in for their entrees and y/n pulled out her phone to take quick pictures before digging in. y/n took a piece of bread and dipped it into the melty cheese.

"this is so good everytime" she groaned quietly. suna chuckled at his girlfriend as she devoured the food infront of her. "hey! why are you laughing at me" she frowned. "i'm not" he raised his hands in defence. "you're just cute" he said.

"stop that" y/n rolled her eyes.

——

after a long dinner of inside jokes and long talks, the two headed back to suna's home, where hopefully, the twins did what they were supposed to do.

y/n watched him look into the ash tray and found the key sitting there. "ew. babe why are you putting your hand in the ash tray?" y/n asked. "you'll see" he unlocked the door.

on cue, soft classical music started to play and rose petals lined the foyer. "woah" she gasped. "this is beautiful" she said, barely above a whisper. y/n carefully took off her heels and took suna's hand.

"how did you do all of this?" she asked as he led her up the stairs. "i had some help" he replied, handing her a bouquet of flowers sitting infront of the bedroom door.

"rintaro" she smiled. "these are gorgeous" she let out a deep breath. "open the door" he instructed.

y/n put her hand on the doorknob and twisted it.

she walked in with small balloons floating to the ceiling, and attached to the strings were printed pictures of them with words on the backs.

on the wall where the bed frame was, there were big balloons with the words "will you be my girlfriend?"

"i know we're technically dating now, but i wanted to ask the right way" he said. y/n placed the flowers down on the bed. "yes. i will be your girlfriend" she chuckled and planted a kiss on his lips.

y/n looked at every picture and read every word. "this is so cute rin" she whispered. y/n turned around and wrapped her arms around his neck. "youre the best thing to ever happen to me" he said.
