Catching Up

About two months went by ever since Lilith had came to the Hotel. For the most part, everything was going good! You and Lilith talked a bit but not much as she was more focused on Lucifer and Charlie which was normal of course.

However, you began to notice how distant Lucifer was getting to you. Of course, it was Charlie's mother and they hadn't seen each other in a while so they wanted to catch up. But.. you were his girlfriend, he still needed to show you love and affection.. right?

One day you were heading to Lucifer's room to talk with him about it, but as you were about to knock, you could hear two voices coming from the inside. You pressed your ear against the door to listen better.

"Why are you helping Charlie with the Hotel? You know redeeming sinners isn't a thing, right?"

Lilith asked in a gentle tone as she sat on Lucifer's bed, her hands folded against her lap. Lucifer just sighed as he took off his hat and set it to the side, sitting down on a nearby chair, running his fingers through his golden locks.

"Of course I don't.. but I'm willing to help our daughter out at any cost. When you left, I think something snapped in her, like she wanted to prove to you she could actually do something right. And I was wrong to doubt her all this time, what she's doing is amazing and I couldn't be more proud."

He said with a gentle smile, turning his chair to glance out the window with a soft look. Lilith just stayed quiet as she looked at Lucifer, her eyes narrowing slightly. After a moment, she let out a chuckle before standing up, walking over to Lucifer and putting her hand against his chest.

"Dear.. this whole Hotel is silly and a waste of time. Do you really believe these sinners will be redeemed? You've been down here for centuries and have you ever seen a sinner actually get redeemed?"

Lilith questioned, rubbing her hand against Lucifer's chest with a warm and soothing smile on her face. Lucifer looked up at Lilith with a soft blush on his face feeling her touch his chest. What she said was right, but even so.. this was their daughter, he couldn't just let her down.

With a gentle push of Lilith's hand away from his chest, he chuckled and stood up, grabbing his hat and placing it on top of his head— brushing off his chest.

"No, I haven't. But that doesn't mean I'm not gonna stop trying to help her, even if it takes even more centuries to make it happen."

Lucifer said before he started to walk towards the door, his apple cane in hand. Lilith watched as he walked towards the door, a gentle expression on her face. She stayed quiet for a moment before speaking up once more.

"So, what's your relationship with that human girl? Are you two together?"

Lilith asked in a curious and neutral tone, tilting her head slightly. Lucifer stopped in place for a moment before looking back at her, a nervous look on her face.

"Huh? Oh— you mean Y/N. Ah.. yes, we are together."

Lucifer spoke in a soft tone, rubbing the back of his neck with a nervous smile and chuckle. Lilith stared at the male with narrowed eyes before she smiled, standing up from the bed and dusting off her dress.

"Well.. I guess that's normal for you. Going from one human girl to the next."

Lilith says with a smile before walking towards the door, putting her hand on the knob. Lucifer was a bit confused by the comment, a soft blush coming across his cheeks.

"Oh.. hahah.. yeah I-I guess."

He says, scratching his cheek a bit. Lilith simply chuckles as she shakes her head, opening the door and stepping out before looking back at the male.
