You spend the next couple months keeping up with Lilith's torture of chores, her of course giving you the worst chores possible. Cleaning the bathrooms, cleaning the windows outside of the Hotel, taking out the trash— anything to make you miserable.

You had just finished cleaning the bathrooms, your uniform covered in stains from cleaning products, holding a mop and bucket as you pass by the lobby with a tired expression, hearing the sounds of laughter. You peak over to see everyone sitting in the living room, talking and laughing with one another. Your eyes narrowed slightly as you make your way towards the group, a confused look on your face.

"Aren't you guys supposed to be doing your chores?"

You ask as you looked at the group, holding the mop in your hand, the mop inside the bucket. Everyone quickly stops talking before turning to face you, seeing your appearance as they winced slightly.

"Didn't my mom tell you we had the whole week off?"

Charlie asked with a worried look in her eyes, turning to look at the rest of the group for their input. Your eyes widened as you heard this, gripping your hand around the mop's handle tightly.

"What? We had the whole week off? She didn't tell me anything. You guys saw me working this whole week and didn't say anything?"

You ask as you look at them with a disappointment look, your brows furrowing slightly. The group reminded silent, exchanging looks nervously before you sighed softly, dropping the mop to the ground.

"I'm going out."

You say coldly before walking towards the door of the Hotel, pushing them open as they closed behind you. Lucifer and Lilith had just walked into the lobby as you stormed out, watching as you left the building. Lucifer's eye brows raised as he saw you leave before turning towards the group.

"What happened? Where's she going?"

Lucifer asked with concern, stepping towards the group. Charlie looked over towards her dad, covering her mouth for a moment before looking away, too ashamed to say what happened. Vaggie looked at Charlie then sighed before looking at Lucifer.

"Well.. we kinda forgot to mention to her that we had the week off.. we thought Lilith had told her, so.."

Vaggie trailed off as she explained the situation, looking at Lucifer as his face lit up with anger, his eyes flashing red for a moment— his horns appearing on his forehead.

"WHAT?! How the hell could you not tell her?! She clearly was working, so obviously she didn't know about it!"

Lucifer shouted with anger before he turned to face Lilith, a scoff leaving his lips as he narrowed his eyes at her.

"And you! I've noticed you've been giving Y/N the most complicated chores while everyone else gets the easiest ones! Angel and Cherry are in charge of the uniforms and designs. Husk is in charge of the bar. Sir Pentious gets to decorate the Hotel. Charlie is in charge of running it and Nifty— she likes cleaning so you make her do that! How is that not fair?"

Lucifer shout-asks with anger toned in his voice, his eyes flashing red. Lilith just stands there in disbelief as Lucifer shouts at her, putting her hand over her chest.

"Darling! It's not like I'm doing it on purpose! I was simply just assigning chores to the ones that fit the most! Y/N's was just.. the last choices I had!"

Lilith said, trying to defend her actions while reaching out to grab Lucifer's hands, only for him to pull away and huff at her, fixing his collar before creating a portal and stepping into it, disappearing from the others.

Those in the lobby just stared at Lilith with nervous expressions before she snapped her head towards them, her eyes flaring red as they looked away. Charlie looked over at her mom before she stood up, walking over towards her.

"It's okay, mom.. we know it wasn't your fault. You just— forgot to tell her, and we should have told her the moment we saw her continuing to work. So if anything— it's our fault."

Charlie said softly, trying to reassure her mom with a gentle smile, placing her hand on her shoulder for support. Lilith just looked over at Charlie, her eyes softening a bit before letting out a gentle sigh, placing her hand on top of Charlie's.

"You're right, Charlotte. I'm sure Y/N will come around.. along with your father. Let's all just— how about one of your activities to take our minds off this?"

Lilith suggested with a smile as Charlie let out a gasp, her eyes lighting up with excitement knowing she had got rid of the activities for some reason, but happy she suggested it. She immediately pulled Lilith into the group, rambling about different activities they could all do while Lilith chuckled in amusement, her mind wandering back to the scene before.

Meanwhile, you were wandering around Hell, your uniform stained and dirty from all the chores you had been doing all day, your arms crossed as you sighed to yourself. Ever since Lilith came back, it feels like you've been pushed aside— not important anymore. You were feeling.. left out.

You eventually wandered into the woods without even really noticing, glancing around with curious eyes. If you thought woods on Earth were scary— Hell was way worse. You eventually found a rock to sit in front of a pond, sitting down with your elbows rested on your knees, hands on cheeks as you looked down at your reflection.

"Maybe I should have went back to Earth.. I don't belong here.. I'm a human for gosh sakes— why would I think I'd fit in here?"

You asked yourself while looking into your reflection, a single tear rolling down your cheek and into the pond, closing your eyes for a moment. As you sat there in slience with eyes closed, you could hear more of that.. familiar whispering.. calling out to you.

"..Y/N.. Y/N.. I can help you.. I can make you fit in.."

The whispers speak around you, causing you to slowly open your eyes and look around, seeing if anyone was around. You'd been hearing that whisper for months, who was it? Where was it coming from?"

"Who are you? Why do you keep talking to me?"

You ask out as you continue looking around, a small gust of wind blowing as leaves make a path for you to follow, the whispers whispering; 'follow the path.. and I'll tell you everything..' Your eyes shine with curiosity as you watch the leaf path before glancing back towards where the Hotel was, hesitating for a moment. 'If this mysterious person could help me.. it was worth a shot.. right?' You thought to yourself before turning back towards the path, taking a deep breath before slowly following the path, leading you deeper and deeper into the forest, wondering where you were going. You could only follow to find out.
