"Are you sure you can handle her?" I ask San one last time while taking off my blazer.

"Bro, just trust me. I'm very good with children," he happily replies from the other side of the phone, assuring me.

"Sure. And how are things going with Wooyoung?" I casually ask.

"Pretty smooth. He recently found a job as a cafe manager."

"That's good." I put the phone on speaker as I grab my house outfit to change. "And what about your job? Are you doing well as a marketing manager?"

"Yes, hyung. But it's tiring. You know what I'm thinking of?"

"What?"

"I'm thinking of launching my own business." I roll my eyes back as he speaks. Does he think starting business is that easy? "I'll start a restaurant business, and I'll have Wooyoung as both my secretary and the main chef."

My heart tightens as I hear the word secretary. I used to have one of the best secretaries in the world.

"Come out of your world, and just focus on your curreng job. And since your day is off tomorrow, be here, at my place in the morning. We'll have breakfast together."

"You'll cook?"

"No, bring Wooyoung if he's free. Otherwise, I'll cook."

"I can help you," he suggests.

"Help me with what? Burning my house?" I cackle.

"Hyung, I'm not that bad."

"Okay, okay. I'll hang up now."

"Alright. Bye."

"Bye."

After the call ends, I leave the phone and go downstairs. My daughter's still sleeping, so I take the opportunity to make myself dinner. I have no maid like before, who would always prepare my food on time. Rather, I prepare them myself as I have free time after work.

Four months ago, I started my own clothing business under the label KTH. Since I had connections from my previous experience, my business didn't take long to take off, which I am grateful for. Thanks to my previous experience, I managed to develop a good commercial strategy.

From time to time, I see journalists criticizing me for leaving a fortune behind, but I could care less. My company is in its beginning state with small numbers of employees. Nonetheless, I enjoy working there as a CEO. I can proudly say that I didn't inherit it, but I made this company with hard work.

As I finish washing the dishes after dinner, I hear my doorbell rings. Who could come at this hour?

I go and check on the security monitor first. I feel uncomfortable as I see my parents standing on the other side of the door. We still have unresolved issues, and I don't know if I want to address them now.

I put my worries aside and open the door. Let's see why they are here.

"Good evening," I greet them, keeping a stoic face.

"Good evening, sweetheart," my mother smiles at me while my father stays still.

"Please, come in." I step aside to give them space to enter my house.

"How are you, Taehyung?" She asks me while scanning my place just like my father. I know they aren't very impressed about the size of the house, but this doesn't matter to me.

"I'm good. What brings you here?" I get straight to the point because I can sense they aren't here for any good.

"What do you mean, honey? We're here to meet you and our granddaughter."
