I was cuddled up with Jacob on the couch of my living room later that night. We were both wearing our pajamas while watching the TV in front of us. My head was on his chest and we were both half asleep even though he had to head out with the guys soon to do their rounds and I had promised him that I would help him out with that paper now that he had finished the outline like I asked. But, I still had Bella on my mind since she had mentioned the crush that Jacob used to have.

"Can I ask you something?" I asked him quietly, breaking up the silence that we had been sitting in apart from the movie that we were watching together.

"Of course you can. What's on your mind, baby?" he asked me while looking down at me a bit in order to look into my eyes.

"So, I was talking to Bella today when she went shopping. She mentioned that you had a crush on her when the two of you were younger."

"What? Why would she mention that? That was years ago when she had just moved out here." He asked me with a chuckle that made me roll my eyes and sit up a bit so that I wasn't cuddled up so closely towards him.

"But you never told me about it. Why didn't you mention it to me?"

"I didn't mention it to you because it's not important. Bella and I never even dated. I had a crush on her and she had a boyfriend. It was all very pathetic and very embarrassing."

"You promise?"

"Of course. I wouldn't lie to you about that, she's your sister. Besides, she even punched me in the face when I kissed her."

"Wait. She punched you when you kissed her?" I asked while looking over at him with wide eyes.

"Yeah. She actually ended up breaking her hand against my jaw. I think they had to have Carlisle come down to fix it himself."

"You didn't think I would like to know that my current boyfriend had a crush on my step-sister?"

"It was a stupid little crush that didn't even mean anything."

"And the kiss was just a stupid little kiss that didn't mean anything?"

"Of course" he said simply with a shrug, not really noticing how upset I was over all of this since he didn't really think that it was a big deal, "You're mad. Why are you mad?"

"I'm mad because I had to find out about all of this from Bella when you should have been the one to tell me. You're my boyfriend. If you used to have a crush on my step sister, you should've told me out of your own free will. You shouldn't have had to wait for me to mention it to you before you told me anything."

"I'm sorry. I just didn't know how to tell you. It's not exactly an easy conversation to have with your girlfriend."

"It doesn't matter anymore, Jacob. I'll get over it." I mumbled while the alarm on Jake's phone went off, "You have to go do the rounds with the guys. If you don't go now, you'll be late."

He got up and looked down at me once he was standing. I grabbed my laptop and made sure that I had his notes and outline next to me so that I could see everything he had and work on the essay for him. I slid my headphones on since I always liked to listen to music while I did school work. I saw that Jacob was a bit nervous about walking away from me and I sighed a little.

"Jake, I would really appreciate it if you could leave me alone for a bit. I have to finish this paper and I have to do like three loads of our laundry with all the stuff you have tossed into my hamper over the last few days." I said, wanting him to leave since we both had stuff to get done tonight.
