Chapter 3 (peeta)

What happened?
I remember katniss placing my hand on her bump, the baby that she is carrying kicking, then everything going black and it still is black. my eye lids refuse to listen to my desperation for awareness and light and my body feels so restricted. I feel a warm, soft hand against mine. it's katniss, who else. her tired voice beings "Beetee said they hijacked you. that you think I would hurt you. no. I know I wouldn't and neither would you to me. you have a daughter peeta, like you have always wanted. we are having a girl!" I can't believe what she is saying. A daughter!
She begins to cry and I am slowly gaining control of my body again. the fighting battle with me and the mutt. I love her. you don't. i love her. you don't - it's a constant circle in my head. "I love you" I hear katniss call. I wish I knew how to stop all this and help her. I'm just so so afraid of hurting her. I feel her warm fingers move my hair in a soothing way and the way her breathing has changed is calming. I force my eyes and they eventually flutter open "is it true all of that?..." I ask just about.

"Yes" she says barely audible. I just stare at her... her eyes are tired but are alert, waiting for me to say something. I look down at her bump in surprise. is that really my baby? "Yes it is peeta" she calls out. did I say that out loud? "I'm going to unstrap you now" she carefully moves them away but hesitates to my movement of sitting up. I must of really frightened her. "I'm sorry I didn't mean..." she had grabbed hold of my face and kisses me full on the mouth "I love you" she whispers then I pull her back into the kiss until haymitch walks in. " ah hello love birds and plus one" she says and kaniss pulls and disapproving face. "How are you both?" He asks, I just stare. "me and the baby are okay and we are having a girl and peeta... is better than he was earlier" katniss states. I give her a thankful glance. "well... that is good new congrats sweetheart. peeta how are you?" He says. "im so confused haymitch. I hurt katniss and I couldn't remember that she was pregnant. what did they do to me?!" I sob and katniss sits next to me and holds my nervous body in her arms like a child.
"It's called hijacking peeta... they have changed your opinions and memories of katniss. you has an episode is what the doctors are calling it" he says. I just take deep breaths to calm my self I don't want an "attack" not while katniss is here. i can't stop it. Both of them are staring concerned.
"Haymitch... take katniss and go. I can hurt them again"
"No I'm staying" she protests.
I can't let her "no... katniss... please go it's the best thing to do. I can't hurt you or the baby... please" I plead.
"He's right sweetheart" he takes her arm. she reaches over and kisses me one last time then the doctors push through. "peeta PEETA I love you. peeta remember..." then she was pushed out helplessly. the glass lightens so I can see through and katniss is sobbing in haymitchs arms. I begin to scream and cry at the doctors. I am helpless to her. then I feel and needle in my back.
