*I would suggest re-reading the last 3 or 4 chapters*

I was still quite shocked about the entire $15,000. 'Should I make my move or nah?' I asked myself, blankly staring at the steering wheel of my silver Toyota. I was outside the gates of Abel's apartment, but I still wasn't sure whether to confront a nigga or not.

I wanted to make an impression on him, but I also wanted to try and make it seem like I hadn't tried too hard. Peering down at my body slightly, I looked at my chosen outfit; a plain white camisole that hugged my hips, indigo skinnies that accentuated my curves, and some airforces. On top of that, I wore a jet black leather jacket. I sprayed some Dior on my wrists and neck in case he got a little too close.

I took a deep breath, rolling down the car window at the same time. Then, I reached out for the red box and typed in '28'; his apartment number. A steady hum filled the machine, and then a robotic-like version of Abel's voice spoke to me.

"Hello, who is this?"

"Abel, it's Maddie", I replied into the box, "let me in."

He was silent for a few seconds, and then he finally spoke back.

"Maddie? I wasn't expecting you to come through..." the box spoke back to me, "but sure, I'll let you in."

And with that, the thick, iron gates pushed aside, allowing space for my car to fit through the parking space.

Once I had parked and gotten out of my car, I made my way into the apartment's elevator. Pressing the button number '3', I forced the jacket around my body tighter. It felt too cold. This elevator gave me horrible memories, yet nostalgic ones, too. The first time I had been in this elevator was the night of 'Kiss Land', but the first time I was here, I was also with Abel.

Unrequited love is confusing; yes, I know.

Once the elevator door had opened, I made my way down the narrow, jade corridor. Once I had found apartment '28', I made a rapt knock on the door.

I heard the sound of feet shuffling behind the door, and then Abel finally opened the door.

Quickly looking him up and down made me feel sexually frustrated on the spot. Damn, even his cocky grin was enough to make me remove my lingerie if he wanted to.

He was wearing a white 'Official Issue XO' jumper, which empathised his lean muscles.

"Hey, Maddie."

But just because he happened to be sexy as fuck, it didn't mean he was going to get away with his bullshit so easily.

"No, Abel," I announced with a grave tone, "we need to talk."

I'm keeping it professional.
