Chapter 3: Maddie
The next day.
‘I’m so tired,” I said aloud, to no-one by myself.
It was 4 o’clock in the afternoon, and work was about to finish. All I had been doing all day was writing some songs for Drake to use for his new album…possibly. I put my unruly ombre hair into a top knot bun, and then I put my mint green lyric book in my apricot tote bag, until the oak door opened. It was The Weeknd, once again. It took everything in me not to jump over the table and run over to him like a demented teenage fan.
“Hey, The Weeknd,” I said to him, smiling at him.
He looked like a deer caught in the headlights.
“Is there anything wrong?” I continued.
“Sorry,” he looked very embarrassed, “This used to be my room. I didn’t think it was actually occupied”
“It’s okay. Is there anything you need?” I asked him, as if it were normal to talk to music legend every day.
“No, I just usually come here to take my mind off of things.” He said “I like looking out the window, you see. It calms me down”
“Tell me about it,” I said, remembering the beautiful scenery of Toronto.
We stared at each other for a moment and silence fell upon us.
“Well I was going, so you can come in,” I said, picking up my tote bag.
“NO! I mean, you can stay with me. That’s if you want.” The Weeknd said back to me.
OH MY GOSH. OH MY GOSH.
“Okay,” I said, putting my tote bag back down.
“Cool!” he said, making his way to the chestnut chair. After a while, he abruptly stopped.
“One more thing,” He said, looking at me.
“Yes?” I asked
“Call me Abel.” He said, now sitting on the chair.
Could life get any better?
