After King Philip finished checking everyone out, including myself, after I had finished the tea for Poa, we all dispersed to go back to our respected places with Amity, my mom, aunt, and uncle going home with us to live until we were able to go back to the kingdom.

Ro and Ray decided to go back to the pack house with us and took the car, and we took a van that Derrick loaned out to us but wanted back whenever we were able to give it to him as well as other supplies, even though he had said that they were not needed but were grateful for and anything else that we would give them in the future because I wanted to actually go there and make sure that everything was safe and check in on everyone.

And hopefully, I wouldn't be knocked out for a long time until it was time for us to leave for the safety of our pack again...

Stephen and Poa had left in one direction, waiting for King Philip and Austin to leave before they left, and we left after them, wanting to make sure everyone left safely and with orders to let me know that they had gotten home safe and sound.

My mother pulled me closer to her, breaking me from my thoughts, and I looked toward her to see that there was a small frown on her face and a look of worry flashing through her eyes.

"She is wondering if you are ok, Kat," Carver said and tucked his head closer to his chest. He bit back a small smile and looked at me from the rearview mirror before he looked at the road while he grabbed the steering wheel tighter.

I bit back a tired sigh and slowly nodded, moving a hand through my hair and across my face. "Yes," I said before I cleared my throat before I shifted in my seat. "I am just tired and want to go home so that I can take a nap."

My mother patted my arm, and she placed a small kiss on my forehead, not saying a word while she pulled into her arms. She rubbed my back, and I bit back a small smile, happy that she was there before I closed my eyes and leaned my head on her shoulder.

"She wants to know if she is allowed t-"

"Yes," I said and opened my eyes, interrupting Carver while I pressed my lips into a thin line because I knew what he was going to say. "She is allowed to stay at the pack with us for as long as she wants and if she wants to go back to the kingdom when I take the throne, then she can do that, too."

And I hope that she will follow me back there, too...

I pressed my lips into a thin line when that crossed my mind, and I couldn't help but feel nervous, scared even, for I had no idea if my mother would follow me there and not stay here like I had a feeling that Aunt Diane and Uncle Peter would do, especially since it was now Trevor and Arabella's turn to lead as my seconds.

My mother pulled me closer to her and pressed another kiss to my forehead, and my heart grew warm and became filled with happiness and hope because I knew what that silent promise meant as if she had said it out loud.

I will follow you to the ends of the Earth...

I breathed a small sigh of relief and slowly nodded. My throat cleared just a tad, and I closed my eyes while I leaned against her, enjoying her warmth and comfort.

"That is going to be in the future after everything is taken care of," Brody said. He grabbed my hand tighter and squeezed it reassuringly, silently reassuring himself that I was there and alive. "We want to make sure that we have both threats against the kingdom and the other species are taken care of before that."

My mother nodded and looked at him. She gave him a small smirk and a wink, and a look of amusement flashed through her eyes.

Carver chuckled, amused, and he tucked his head closer to his chest. "She is also wondering if that means that babies will be in the future too and how many," he said. "She will like some grandchildren to spoil."
