Chapter 89

I pressed another kiss to his lips before I took a deep breath and released it with a small whoosh. "Ok," I said, my voice barely above a whisper while I licked my lips, and I looked away from him. "Ummm... ya. Ok. Thank you."

Brody held back an eye roll and opened his mouth to say something, but he wasn't able to say anything when there was a knock on the bedroom door, even though no one entered the room. He bit back a tired sigh and looked at the door before he looked at me with a tight smile on his face. "I guess that she is here," he said and held back an eye roll. "Why would she not enter the bedroom when she knows that she can come in here with us?"

I shrugged and grimaced, pressing my lips into a thin line. "I don't know," I said before I shifted in my seat, biting back a tired sigh. "Do you think that you can let her in because she isn't going to come into the room without someone getting her, please?"

Brody smiled and nodded before he pressed his lips against mine, and I bit back a small smile and kissed my lips. "I love you, Kat," he said, his voice barely above a whisper, "and I will be back with her and whoever else is there. Excuse me." He started to walk away from me with a single glance toward Ro and Ray, who were still bowing and submitting toward him. "You two can stop doing that. I do not know why you are doing that anyway."

"Because Ro is a guy and has seen your queen and mate naked," I said and rolled my eyes with a small scowl on my face, "even though he has seen me naked already when we were younger."

"Which is why I am not that mad about it," Brody said and walked out of the bathroom, "so stop bowing and submitting to me, please."

They stayed silent and relaxed ever so slightly while they stopped submitting to my mate. They looked toward me and then looked toward him without saying a word, and I could tell that they were still nervous and worried about me and him.

'You are a little protective of me, though,' I said, 'and I have a feeling that your wolf is a little angry that Ro is in here and saw me like this.' I folded my arms across my chest and sighed, tapping my finger against my arm while I leaned back in my seat.

Brody bit back a tired sigh and mentally nodded, and I couldn't help but smirk, earning a curious look from the twins, but they didn't say a word when I shook my head because they knew I would tell them. 'Yes, he is a little mad that Ro is in the bathroom and has seen you partially naked.'

"Brody's wolf is a little mad that you are seeing my top half naked," I said and glanced at Ro, "even though you aren't going to be doing anything to me or want anything to do with me."

"Besides having you be my queen and sister," Ro said, giving me a pointed look. 'Even though I am still a little mad at you for hurting my twin sister.' He set his jaw and pressed his lips into a thin line, and a look of annoyance flashed through his eyes. 'I will not act out on that anger, however, so you do not have anything to worry about that.'

I bit back a tired sigh and mentally nodded, moving a hand through my hair and across my face. 'I know,' I said and shifted in my seat, and my heart ached and became filled with guilt and sadness. 'I was not going to let anything bad happen to her, which is why we are in this predicament in the first place.'

Ro didn't say a word when people started to rush to the bathroom to check on me, and the first person that had entered the bathroom was my mother. He glanced at my mother before he looked at me, watching as I had grown tense in her presence.

Concern and worry filled my mother's eyes while she rushed over to me, and she seemed to ignore the fact that I had gotten tense while she pulled me into a hug and pressed a kiss to my forehead, silently asking me if I was ok.
