I'll apologise now for how out of character this is, but I'm pretty sure all my Jailey fanfictions are that way haha..
Note: characters are older than in canon, picture more college than school•••••••••••
Hailey groans as her phone buzzed on her nightstand. She reached her bare arm out from the warmth of her bed, slapping it to shut up. She cringes as she misses and it falls onto the floor.
Now she really has no choice but to get out of bed and turn it off, which she really didn't want to do in this cold air.Nevertheless, the teal-haired female swings her legs out of bed and crouches down, picking up her phone. She turns the alarm clock off before checking her notifications. It's a bunch of shit, other than her messages. She has a message from Lia, her childhood friend.
'Lia🎀: Hey Hails, want to go to the mall before class? Zoey wants to check out a new bag or smth'
'Lia🎀: Please you'll save me 🙏🫶'Hailey pushes her hair out of her face, she should really cut it sometime.. It's far too long and it's always in her face.
'Hails🫐: No, sorry.'
'Lia🎀: Traitor 😭'
'Hails🫐: Duh, I see enough of Zoey at lesson. Gl.'
'Lia🎀: Thank you 😑'Hailey looks at the time, she has about an hour or two before she has to be on the college's grounds. She wasn't much of a makeup girl, just some foundation to cover her freckles and eyeshadow, so she was quick to be ready.
She walks over to her dresser and picks up her hairbrush, ragging the knots out of her hair as she walked around. She ties her hair back in a low, messy ponytail. She heads over to her wardrobe and picks out some clothing, recalling that the weather is supposed to be hot today she picks some looser clothing, but is sure to put a jacket around her waist just in case.Once changed, she grabs all her essentials for the day and heads downstairs. She hears her mother in the kitchen, most likely rushing around before she has to head to work or whatever she did during the day.
Honestly, Hailey couldn't wait until she could get a dorm next week, then she wouldn't need to hide in her room all the time.
Hailey heads straight outside and walks to the beach, walking the entire way.Once Hailey arrives, she feels a weight lifted from her shoulders. She keeps her bag securely under her arm as she walks across the pathway to the sand. She takes her sandals off, holding them in one hand as she walks along the sandy surface. She heads over to where the ocean's wave stretches across the land, reaching forth before dragging itself back.
It felt like she did at home, being dragged back. Hailey grabs at the tie in her hair, pulling it out to let her hair gracefully dance in the wind. The teal-haired female takes a deep breath before letting everything built up inside out into the wild.
She wished her father had gotten custody over her, but then again she hasn't seen her father in so long, she doesn't know if he'd care even less than her mother does.He probably wouldn't want her.. Who would?
"Hey, Austin!" she hears a voice call out, turning her head over her shoulder to see a blonde-haired male with peach highlights standing, waving his arm. "What're you doing out here at this hour?"
Jake Sterling.. What's he doing here?
