Hailey was playing basketball with Daisy, Sadie, Milly, Sean and Luke. Sadly Zander couldn't join them today as he was stuck in his bed with a cold, Luke didn't know why until he got to the park to play with the other five.
He planned to go visit him later today, surely his dog-lover boyfriend would want a cuddle or two.

"Oh, I'm DYING!"

Milly said as she sprawled out on the grass as if she was roadkill.

"I have to admit, I'm tired too. Aren't you, Sadie?"

The white-haired, blue-eyed female asked her Wednesday Addams friend.

"Yes.. very tired after those few games."

The teal-haired female let out a small giggle, running a hand through her loose hair.

"At least we're not sweaty, seeing as it's decently cold."

The other girls, alongside Sean and Luke agreed. Sean rubbed his forehead.

"Who fancies another go before we all go home?"

"Mee!!"

"Oooof course Milly does."

"HEY! I just like playing this game, it allows me to be rough!"

t was a peaceful evening. The sky was a beautiful orange-yellow shade from the sun setting, it was gorgeous. The stars weren't out yet, but the clouds looked.. almost like purple mist.

The teal-haired female by the name of Hailey Austin was currently walking through the city, having gone out to grab a couple groceries for her mother .. well, stepmother.
Though she did make a little detour: the sweet aisle. She had gotten some treats for everyone, but the main reason was for her poor sick younger brother. Then, she made one last detour: Eloise's Beans 'n' Pearls, a coffee & boba shop.

The teal-haired female decided to treat herself to a milk tea with tapioca pearls and two pumps of peach syrup. The entire range of products were from verified locations and their containers and straws were all recyable, and great prices! - win-win!

Her number got called at the same time as two others, one she didn't know, and the other was a very familiar coral-blonde.
She had turned to leave but ended up face-to-face with him, looking up to reveal her hooded face.

"Princess! Didn't see ya there."

The grey-eyed female felt her lips curve into a shy smile.

"Jake.. don't call me that everywhere publically."

"Why noootttt?"

Hailey tutted, shaking her head. She took his hand and dragged him away.

"Come on, let's get out of here so we're not blocking the queue."

"Yes ma'am!"

Hailey snickered as she heard him respond, once they were outside she went to slip her hand out of his, only to feel the bag slip out of her hand - she thought she dropped it, causing her to gasp.

"Relax, Princess,"

The young lady noticed he was now carrying it, his tea in his other hand.

"I got it."

Hailey placed a hand over her chest in relief, sighing. She looked up at him with a genuine smile.

"Well, thank you."

Jake grinned in his usual charming way, well, the one that he always gave her.

"How about we stop off at the park for a quick chat?"

"Jake, I have to get these home for my mother at five."

"Well, how long is it from there to walk to yours?"

"Eh.. about four to six minutes?"

"Ok, so five.
And it's four forty-five.

So we could have a quick chat then get you home ready a minute or two before."

Hailey shook her head in disbelief as they headed closer to the park's entrance.

"I give up trying to put you off."

"That's my girl."

"Shut up."

Jake chuckled at her minor frustration, he'd give her a kiss on the head if her hood wasn't up.
It was still bright, and the odd few people were still around the park. All except the small area that was covered by a tree's branches where a bench was. The two made their way over to it, placing the bag of shopping next to Jake's side so it wouldn't fall.

The two young approaching-adults snuggled up to each other, Jake gently turning Hailey's head towards him to look at her beautiful face. He flicked her hood back, causing her to stifle a laugh.
The coral-blonde gently ran his thumb across her cheek, adoring the soft feeling of her skin.

"May I kiss you?"

"Kiss me all you like."

"Careful, I might try it."

"Ha, just kiss me you fool."

The blonde couldn't help but smile before leaning his lips down to Hailey's, she rose her head a tad to meet his lips. The male's hand climbed to the back of her head, playing with her hair softly. The female was comfortable, she felt safe. She let out a gentle sigh, showing her emotion.
Jake couldn't help but get a boost of confidence, she felt safe with him.. That, was a victory to him.

They separated their lips, giving each other a small peck before getting back up to get ready to leave.

"By the way, what's that flavour of tea?

I tasted something specific.."

"Hm? It's just a plain milk tea with sugar tapioca pearls and peach syrup."

"Ooh, so that's what it was.."

The male leant his lips near Hailey's ear, holding back a grin.

"..You know, if you want some peach syrup, you could just ask."

Hailey gasped, slapping him on the shoulder. Jake laughed before seeing her hand raise to give him a slap on the top of his head, he managed to grab her hand - his other holding the bag on his elbow and the tea in his hand.

"Haha! Stop! Mercy, mercy!"

The two burst out into a fit of laughter until Jake walked Hailey home, wanting to make sure that she got home safe.

Of course Zander was grateful, but also angry.

Luke was still there, having been invited to stay for dinner, and the night considering that it was Saturday.

Jake had stayed for dinner too, having been offered by Shannon and her husband, Michael.
Though, when it came to leaving, the family realised that the thunderstorm that was due in the early hours had come earlier than expected..

"I don't think he should be going home in this, Michael."

Shannon said, though she could come off as cold, she was a caring individual. A fantastic mother.

"Hm.. I have to agree with you. I would offer him to stay the night but where would he sleep?"

Shannon looked at Jake in the background of Michael talking, he was currently talking to Hailey, who also seemed concerned at him going home in this weather.

"Oh, I'm sure something could be sorted."
