As the celebrations came to an end and the excitement of exchanging gifts faded, the house settled into a peaceful yet joyous atmosphere. The clock struck 8 PM when Revti, with a warm smile, asked the newlyweds to perform some rituals. They stepped into the home temple, where the soft glow of diyas lit up the idols decorated with fresh flowers. The air was filled with the soothing sound of mantras, making the moment feel sacred and welcoming for the new bride.
After the rituals, it was time for dinner. The dining hall was filled with the delicious aroma of freshly prepared food. A grand feast awaited them—more than fifty-six dishes, each made with love and care to welcome the bride. The long dining table was beautifully set, shining under the golden light of the chandelier. There were rich curries, fragrant rice, soft breads, sweet desserts, and so much more, each dish representing the family's joy and tradition.
As everyone entered the hall, their eyes sparkled with excitement. The elders took their seats first, smiling with pride, while the younger ones eagerly looked at the feast before them. Tonight was more than just a meal—it was a warm embrace for the bride, a way of telling her that she was now part of this family, surrounded by love, traditions, and endless care.
As the night carried on, Aadish and Avantika, still in their grand wedding attire, sat at the dining table, surrounded by family. The intricate embroidery of their outfits shimmered under the soft glow of the chandelier, a reminder that they were still wrapped in the essence of their special day. No one had bothered to change; the joy of the wedding still lingered, making every moment feel magical.
Just as everyone was about to begin dinner, Rudra, the ever-energetic younger brother, stood beside the couple, his eyes twinkling with excitement. With a wide grin, he leaned down, pressing a quick kiss to Aadish’s cheek before exclaiming, "Bhai sa, aaj hum bahut khush hain! Aapne itni pyaari si Bhabhi maa hume laa kar di… love you!" (Brother, today I am very happy! You have brought us such a lovely sister-in-law… love you!)
The room instantly filled with warm laughter and affectionate awws from the family, cherishing the bond between the brothers. But Aadish, ever the composed one, frowned slightly, shooting an irritated look at his mischievous little brother. His sharp gaze did little to affect Rudra, who simply grinned wider, clearly enjoying his moment of playfulness.
Avantika, on the other hand, felt the warmth rush to her cheeks. The unexpected affection and attention left her flustered, her face turning a soft shade of pink. She lowered her gaze shyly, feeling a mixture of embarrassment and quiet happiness. The night was not just about feasting and rituals; it was a celebration of love, bonds, and the beginning of a new journey—one filled with laughter, warmth, and endless teasing.
"Rudra, chup chap idhar mere paas aao… aaj toh apni Bhabhi maa aur Bhai sa ko tang mat karo bache… dekho, tumhari Bhabhi maa abhi se itni gulabi ho rahi hai…" (Rudra, come here quietly… don’t tease your sister-in-law and brother today, child… look, your Bhabhi maa is already turning so pink…) she said, amusement clear in her voice.
Laughter echoed around the table as everyone took in Avantika’s blushing face. Aadish’s gaze instinctively shifted to his wife, and the moment their eyes met, time seemed to slow. Avantika, already flustered, felt her breath hitch as she found herself trapped in his intense stare. The world around them faded, the teasing voices of the family becoming nothing more than a distant murmur.
"Aadish…" Ansh called out, but there was no response. The couple remained locked in their silent exchange, lost in a world of their own.
The family chuckled, watching the newlyweds caught in their moment. The teasing, the laughter, the warmth—it all blended into the air around them, making the night even more special.
