Some say your my first love,
But that title doesn't seem right.
I guess they say that because it's
An easy way for it to be described.
Don't get me wrong.
What we had was great.
Even after all these years.
The memories make my heart race.
We parted ways, but not a day goes
By that you don't cross my mind.
Some days I find myself
Wishing I gave us a real try.
Now you have moved away,
And you're long gone.
I guess you could say that
I somewhat moved on
Because now I have a husband
A love that's supposed to be true.
So does that mean that
My "first love" was never you?
