Light Fades to Rain
Izuku's attack was instantaneous. Brutal. A force of pure, unchecked destruction.
In the blink of an eye, the entire room was destroyed and before anyone could react, Izuku had already lunged.
Aizawa barely had time to brace before Izuku slammed into him with the force of a fucking freight train.
They crashed through the hospital wall in an explosion of concrete and glass, hurtling straight through the window. The world outside swallowed them whole as they plummeted two stories down, disappearing from sight in a whirlwind of destruction.
Katsuki's heart seized in his chest, a sickening weight settling in his gut as his mind raced through every worst-case scenario. He didn't hesitate. He didn't think. He just moved.
He tore out of the demolished room, boots skidding against shattered glass and broken tile, and what he saw below made his blood run cold.
Aizawa was pinned beneath Izuku, his body struggling against the overwhelming force holding him down, but Izuku wasn't just restraining him—he was trying to tear him apart. His fingers were curled into talons tipped with Black whip, but they shook with something far more dangerous than rage. The way he hovered over Aizawa, the way his muscles coiled and tensed—it was the same way he had attacked those people in the cavern.
This wasn't a fight. This was an execution.
"STOP IT, DEKU!" Katsuki's voice cracked from the sheer force of it, raw with desperation, but Izuku didn't even flinch. His eyes burned with an unnatural glow, and there wasn't even a flicker of hesitation in them. The Izuku he knew wasn't in there anymore.
And Katsuki knew then that there was no talking him down from this. There was no reasoning with him.
Izuku shifted his stance, planting his foot firmly against the cracked pavement. His right arm cocked back, muscles tensing, preparing a lethal strike.
Faster than thought. Faster than instinct, Katsuki launched himself from the edge, igniting his explosions in a violent blast, rocketing down toward them at full speed. The moment Izuku's claws began to descend, Katsuki slammed into him at full force, tackling him away from Aizawa with an impact that sent shockwaves through the air.
They crashed into the pavement, skidding across the asphalt, sending dust and debris billowing into the air.
Fists flew. The sharp crack of bone against bone echoed through the night as Katsuki struck first, but Izuku retaliated instantly, twisting into a brutal counterattack. His knee shot up, ramming into Katsuki's ribs with enough force to rattle his bones. Explosions detonated between them, lighting up the street like fireworks, each blast fracturing the ground beneath them.
But Izuku didn't slow.
He fought like he felt nothing.
No hesitation. No restraint. No trace of the person Katsuki had spent years chasing, fighting alongside, nurturing, loving. Katsuki fought to keep Izuku at bay but every hit Katsuki landed, Izuku gave back twice as hard. Every explosion Katsuki unleashed, Izuku pushed through it, his strength fueled by something far more dangerous than just raw power.
This was retaliation, vengeance.
For just a split second, Katsuki risked a glance toward Aizawa.
His body was still.
