SORRY, HE'S MINE

Katsuki's alarm chimed gently, its soft sound pulling him from the comfort of sleep. He squinted against the morning light, giving his eyes a moment to adjust as he fumbled to silence the relentless noise. Another day, another round with the world. Rolling over to the other side of the bed, Katsuki cracked an eye open to find Izuku still sound asleep snoring softly. He watched him for a moment, noticing how peaceful he looked. Ever since their last night at the safe house, Izuku had finally been getting some decent shuteye, free from the torment of his raging nightmares.

Katsuki couldn't help but huff to himself as he watched him sleep, getting all mushy over it. Like, seriously? Since when did he ever care so much about someone else's sleep patterns? But then again, Izuku wasn't just anyone; he was... well, he was Izuku. Watching him sleep was surprisingly soothing, knowing that he was doing okay, more than okay.

And last night? The heat between them, hell, the way they moved together like they were fucking made for each other, and the raw emotions that had him feeling like he was losing his damn mind. It was a side of himself he'd never shown anyone, let alone thought he had in him, but with Izuku, it felt... different. Katsuki would be lying if he said it didn't mess with his head a bit... Fuck okay, maybe a lot more than a little bit. They'd bulldozed past some definitive lines, blurred some boundaries, and hell, he wasn't quite sure where they stood now.

Partner sounded too impersonal, too distant, but boyfriend felt weird, foreign, like it didn't quite fit. They were more than just friends, that much was fucking clear, but what did that make them? And more importantly, where did they go from here?

Katsuki rubbed at his eyes in annoyance, he'd figure out the whole relationship thing later—preferably when his brain wasn't still foggy from sleep and his emotions weren't running haywire.

Still, as he lazily watched Izuku, he couldn't help but get lost in the details of the person before him—the curve of his lips, the steady rise and fall of his chest, the stray hairs that fell delicately across his forehead. It was like he was under some damn spell, unable to look away from Izuku's serene expression, something for him and only him.

His fingers twitched, and before he knew it, he was reaching out, brushing Izuku's cheek with a feather-light touch. It was soft, warm, everything that was still a little foreign to him. Yeah, maybe he was a bit soft for Izuku, but he'd be damned if he admitted it to anyone but the nerd himself.

Katsuki let his hand fall from Izuku's cheek, feeling the weight of his thoughts settling around him like a weighted blanket. The room was quiet, save for Izuku's soft snores and the distant buzz of the waking city outside. But peace didn't last long, not when thoughts of the League of Villains crashed into his consciousness like a wrecking ball.

Those bastards had crossed a line, and Katsuki's blood heated at the thought. How they could even think about laying a finger on Izuku? The anger bubbled up inside him, hot and fierce, driving him to protect what was unquestionably his at any damn cost.

His fingers curled into a tight fist, nails digging into his palm as he gritted his teeth. If those fuckers thought, they could mess with Izuku? They had another thing coming. Izuku was his to protect, his to care for, his to... well, whatever the hell else came with it. The thought echoed in his mind like a mantra, each repetition reinforcing his resolve. Mine. Izuku was his, and Katsuki would fucking go down blasting for Izuku, unleash hellfire upon anyone who dared tried to hurt him.

The memory of Odd Eye, that slimy bastard from the League, made his blood boil even hotter. The audacity of that villain, treating Izuku like he was nothing more than some twisted fucked up pawn in their sick game. Thinking he could hide in the shadows, like Katsuki wouldn't sniff them out. He scoffed at their arrogance, but the anger still churned inside him like a damn storm.
