a massive headache wakes me up, along with the aggressive sunlight sneaking through the poorly closed curtains. i groan, trying to sit up, but something heavy on my stomach holds me down.
i slowly turn my head... and come face to face with the one person i was supposed to avoid.
shit
don't tell me we actually slept together? Fuck, i have zero memory of last night. My throat burns, a clear sign i smoked, which would explain the complete blackout.
carefully, i slip Billie's arm off me. she groans slightly, turns over, and pulls the blanket over herself, curling up underneath it.
i let out a quiet breath before grabbing some underwear and a t-shirt from the floor, then slip into the bathroom, closing the door behind me.
my head is pounding, and my eyes feel like lead. i step into the shower, hoping the water will at least wake me up a little.
a good half-hour later, i open the door and find Billie sitting on my bed, phone to her ear.
"fucking hell, Finn, it's a mess. can't you just tell the team to sort it out?"
i slip past her to grab a water bottle from my nightstand. She lifts her head when she sees me, gives me a small smile, then goes back to looking annoyed.
"i can be there in, like, three hours... yeah, see you soon."
she hangs up, and i grab some painkillers from the table before downing the water in one go.
Billie chuckles softly.
"head hurts much?"
"don't even talk about it."
she starts picking up the scattered clothes on the floor, then tosses my bra onto the bed.
"this one's yours."
i swallow slightly and set the bottle back down.
"by the way... i have to admit, i don't remember a single thing about last night."
Billie steps closer, a smirk playing on her lips.
"you really don't remember anything?"
i avoid her gaze as she keeps moving toward me. i shake my head in response, instinctively stepping back until i feel the nightstand press against my back.
"that's funny, 'cause you sure seemed to know what you were doing..."
i clear my throat, my hands gripping the table behind me. She smiles, running her hand along my arm before taking my fingers and playing with them.
"especially with these two," she murmurs, grabbing my middle and ring fingers.
heat rushes to my cheeks. my brain scrambles for a response, but she leans in before i can say anything, whispering in my ear, her warm breath sending a shiver down my spine.
"we could do it again... you know, to refresh your memory."
a "Shit" slips out before i can stop it. i just got out of the shower, and she already has me like this.
Billie bursts out laughing before pulling away suddenly, letting her fingers brush against mine one last time.
"i'm kidding, princess. nothing happened last night... well, not between you and me."
i grab another water bottle, grateful for the space she just put between us, and raise an eyebrow.
"what do you mean, 'not between you and me'?"
