--- Addy's POV ---

It had been a week since the 'incident', as I called it, between Lucas and I and we were both acting like it never happened. He continued to ignore my advances always finding an excuse for us to stop, but he was still so sweet and I just couldn't find it in me to be annoyed with him. He'd turn up to see me with flowers and when I got in his car when he picked me up he told me I looked beautiful he was just generally an amazing boyfriend. I invited Grace, Hannah and Sarah over to my house one afternoon and we ended up discussing it.

'I just don't get why he doesn't want to do it with me' I sighed

'I'm sure there's a reason' Sarah patted my shoulder

'Maybe he's just nervous' Grace added

'I feel like such a sex pest for feeling like this when he's so nice to me' I pouted

'He's obviously just a respectful guy' Hannah said

'Or maybe he's a virgin' Sarah squealed

'Don't be stupid' Hannah rolled her eyes

And that's how that conversation went- downhill from there on in. Grace and Hannah were slightly older than Sarah and I and were both experienced with relationships so I sometimes felt like a child around them. They were my only friends really though, I met Grace through working at the shop and then she introduced me to Sarah and Hannah. I was closest with Sarah because we were very alike but I got on well with them all and trusted each of them.

Before I met Lucas I would go out to clubs and bars a lot with Sarah and have one night stands after drinking large amounts of alcohol, but obviously when I got a boyfriend that had to stop so I found myself alone a lot more often. I was sitting on the floor leaning my face against the large floor to ceiling windows that overlooked the city pondering life and how to fill my time in a productive way when a letter was dropped through my letter box. I jumped up in excitement at the thought of someone wanting to speak to me and ran to pick it up. It was a small rectangular envelope, white with pink swirls around the edges with my name and address hand written on the front. I tore it open and scanned through it.

You are kindly invited to celebrate the wedding of

  May Barakat

      and

 Harry Monroe

On June 15th 2011 at 2 O' Clock at Ceresville Mansion, Blatimore

My jaw dropped and I grinned at myself. I hadn't seen May, Jack's older sister, for years I'd always gotten on with her really well despite the age difference and I was so happy for her. I went to put the envelope in the bin when I found something else inside it, a hand written note.

Hey Addy,

I just thought I'd write you a little personal letter because I love you so much. I hope you are well and everything is good in your life! I feel like it's been years since we last spoke and it probably has, the last time we saw each other you were about 16 and had allowed Jack to put blonde highlights in your hair. We absolutely have to see each other again, Jack still talks about you to me and he misses you a lot. I know for sure he'd love to see you because he's sitting beside me as I'm writing this and he just screamed it at me. He says you can stay with him so don't worry about finding anywhere else to stay.

I really hope you can come to the wedding and I look forwards to seeing you soon.

All my love

-May x

I smiled at the letter, it was so kind of her and it was really nice to hear from Jack even if was indirectly. She left me his email address at the bottom of the note so I ran to power up my laptop and send him an email. I was going to that wedding even if I had to quit my job, I wouldn't miss it for the world. I logged onto my email account and opened up a new email addressing it to Jack.
