I Could Never Forget Us

Chapter 8

--- Addy's POV ---

I woke up with a dull ache in my head and two arms wrapped loosely around my waist, lifting my head up gently I realised it was Jack and we'd slept on the rug. Although I hadn't gotten absolutely wasted at the wedding I hadn't exactly been sober and the pounding in my head started to worsen with every second so I sat up and shook Jack's shoulder.

'What?' he groaned sleepily

'Jack my head hurts' I whined

'Go and get some painkillers then' he mumbled 

'I don't know where they are' I continued shaking him

'Okay just stop doing that' he sat up next to me

He got up slowly so I followed him into the kitchen where he started searching through the cupboards while I sat at the island in the middle of the room.

'My dress is all crumpled' I tried to smooth out the material

'Yeah we should have changed or something' Jack set a glass of water and two painkillers in front if me

'Thanks' I smiled 'At least you took your jacket off'

'I was being strangled by the damn tie at one point' he tugged the material from around his neck

'It was a nice wedding though' I sipped my drink

'Yeah May looked amazing' he nodded 

'I liked meeting Cassadee as well' I said

'She's great she's way better than anyone Alex has ever introduced to us' he grimaced

I was going to ask more about Alex but Zack walked in an interrupted us.

'Morning' he nodded at us 'Seen  Alex?'

'No he went home with Kelsey' Jack told him

'Should've known' Zack shook his head 'Did you enjoy last night then?'

'Yeah we drank too much but it was fun at the time' I laughed

'Where did you go?' Jack asked

'I met someone' Zack rubbed the back of his neck

'Really?' I gasped 'Who?'

'She's called Harriet' Zack blushed

'Can we meet her?' I begged 'Please?'

'I guess' Zack nodded

After half an hour or so Cassadee came downstairs with Rian, she collapsed into a seat next to me at the island with her head in her hands. Rian shook his head and then rolled his eyes at Jack and me.

'Looks like hangover city in here this morning' Zack chuckled

'I had to look after these three all by myself just because you pulled some chick' Rian glared at everyone

'Oh come on we weren't that bad' I said

'Have you seen yourself this morning?' Rian folded his arms

'Everyone shut up' Cassadee moaned 'Addy let's get coffee'

'Okay give me five minutes to change' I got up

I ran upstairs and changed into leggings with a t shirt of Jack's that I found in the bathroom and converse. Rian was right, I looked like shit, so I put on sunglasses, threw my hair into a messy bun and quickly brushed my teeth. Cassadee was waiting by the front door for me when I went back downstairs.

'We'll be back later guys' I called

'Bye' the three boys chorused back

We decided to walk to the coffee shop because fresh air helped to clear headaches the morning after drinking. When we stopped outside the shop my eyes grew wide, it was the one I used to go to when I lived in Baltimore. I'd been there numerous times, mostly with Alex, and it brought back a lot of memories.
