I Could Never Forget Us

Chapter 10

--- Addy's POV ---

I didn't get up until lunchtime the next day and as I left my room to go the bathroom Lucas was just leaving his room down the corridor. He hadn't seen me so I crept up behind him and wrapped my arms around his waist.

'Adeline that'd better be you' he warned

'Of course it's me silly' I laughed 

'Morning' he turned around in my arms

'Did you sleep well?' I asked

'Yeah I'm still kind of jet lagged but I'll survive' he smiled

'Well if you're up for it we can go and visit my brother today' I suggested

'Yeah that sounds cool' he nodded

'I'll go make you some coffee' I pecked his lips before heading down the stairs

The kitchen was empty when I walked in so I assumed everyone else was still in bed or had gone out. While the water for the coffee was boiling I walked through to the living room to see if anyone was around, the patio doors were open so I stepped out into the back yard and saw Rian sitting with Cassadee by the pool having breakfast.

'Hey guys' I walked over

'Morning' Cassadee smiled

'It's such a nice day' I looked up at the blue sky

'Yeah that's why we're eating out here' Rian gestured to his plate

'Where are Jack and Zack?' I asked

'Jack's still asleep and Zack went to meet Harriet' he said

'I hope we get to meet Harriet soon' I stole a piece of toast off Rian's plate and took a bite out of it

'So do I' Cassadee agreed 'Is Lucas up yet?'

'Yeah I came down to make him some coffee' I nodded 'Have you met him yet?'

'No I haven't' she shook her head 

'Well I'll take him his coffee and bring him to see you' I smiled

'Okay' she grinned

I left them to their breakfast and went to finish making the coffee. I was going to take it upstairs to Lucas but he appeared downstairs dressed and shaven. 

'Here's your coffee' I handed him the drink

'Thanks' he kissed my cheek

'While you drink that I want you to meet Cassadee and Rian' I took his hand and pulled him outside

'I could have made it without you dragging me' he teased

'Shut up' I elbowed him 'Lucas this is Rian and his girlfriend Cassadee guys this is my boyfriend Lucas'

'Hey it's nice to finally meet you' Cassadee grinned

'Yeah we've heard a lot about you' Rian chimed in

'It's great to meet you too' Lucas smiled 'So are you in the band?'

'Yeah I play drums' Rian nodded 'And you work in New York?'

'Yep that's how I met Adeline' he put his arm around my shoulders

'Oh my gosh tell me the story' Cassadee gasped

'She works in a coffee shop and I would visit everyday because I had a small crush on her and then I eventually asked her out after she helped me work the wifi on my computer' Lucas told the shortned version of the story
