Jade's POV
The weight of Leslie's text sat heavy in my chest as I stared at the screen, my fingers frozen over the keyboard.
A meeting. With Bad Bunny.
I swallowed, my mind racing.
I needed to talk to Leslie.
With a deep breath, I tapped the call button, and within seconds, she picked up.
"Finally," Leslie sighed. "I thought you'd left me on read."
I exhaled a nervous laugh. "No, just... processing. So, what's the deal?"
Leslie didn't waste time. "His team reached out this morning. They're interested in getting you in the studio with him soon. We're talking within the next week or two."
I sucked in a breath. "That fast?"
"Jade, it's Bad Bunny," Leslie emphasized. "Opportunities like this don't wait around. He's working on new music, and he wants you on it. It could be huge for you—crossing over into the Latin market, expanding your audience. I don't need to tell you what this could do for your career."
I leaned back against the couch, running a hand through my hair. "No, you don't. Trust me, I get it."
"And?" she pressed.
I chewed on my bottom lip. "I mean... I want to do it. But I also know Nick is already jealous as hell over this whole thing. He's not going to like it."
Leslie let out a dry laugh. "Since when do we make career decisions based on Nick's feelings?"
I groaned. "We don't, but... it's not just about him being possessive. It's the principle of it. He's seen how people twist things. The media is going to have a field day with this."
Leslie sighed. "That's true, but they're going to say shit no matter what you do. So why not do what you want?"
I rubbed my temples. She was right. If I turned this down because of perception—because of Nick's jealousy—I'd regret it.
"Okay," I exhaled. "Set up the meeting."
"That's my girl," Leslie said, satisfaction clear in her voice. "I'll call his team and figure out the logistics. But be ready, because this is going to move fast."
I nodded to myself. "Got it."
As we hung up, I let out a slow breath, my heart hammering against my ribs.
Bad Bunny. Me. A song.
This was happening.
And now, I had to tell Nick.
Nick's POV
I couldn't fucking stop thinking about it.
No matter how hard I tried to distract myself, no matter how many times I told myself to let it go, it just kept circling back. Him.
Fucking Bad Bunny.
Calling my girlfriend "hermosa."
I knew Jade probably thought it was nothing, just a simple, harmless word. But it wasn't. Not to me.
That word came with intention, and I knew it.
I knew men. I knew how they worked. I knew how their minds twisted situations, how they could make something seem casual while still making sure a woman remembered exactly what was said and exactly who said it.
