(^^Jade's outfit)
Nick's POV
I was losing my fucking mind.
For four days, I had told myself I was fine. That I wasn't waiting for her to call. That I didn't care what she was doing.
But that was a goddamn lie.
Because I had seen the pictures.
Jade, stepping out of that building in Miami. Jade, walking into Makoto with fucking him. Benito fucking Martínez.
And now, there were even more.
New ones, fresh off the press, taken just hours ago.
Jade, on a goddamn beach with him.
The paparazzi had been far, but they still got the shots. She was barefoot, her little white dress moving in the breeze, sitting in the sand next to him, eating fucking mangoes like it was a goddamn romance movie.
Like she hadn't broken up with me days ago.
Like she wasn't supposed to be hurting.
I gripped my phone so tightly I thought I might crack the screen, my knee bouncing as I sat in the trailer on set. My call sheet was in front of me, my lines highlighted, my schedule mapped out for the day. But none of it fucking mattered.
Because she wasn't answering me.
I had called. Three times now.
And each time, she had hit decline.
Not even a goddamn text back.
She had ignored my first message—the petty one I sent when she got to Miami. That much, I expected. But after days of silence, I thought maybe... maybe she'd at least pick up.
But no.
I wasn't even worth a response.
I clenched my jaw, running a hand through my hair, exhaling sharply.
I had fucked up. I knew that. I knew I had pushed too hard, let my jealousy get the best of me, let the insecurity rip us apart.
But I didn't think she'd actually fucking leave.
I didn't think she'd actually move on so goddamn fast.
A knock at my trailer door made me jolt.
I didn't answer right away. Just sat there, staring blankly at my phone, my mind running through every possible scenario.
Had she really already replaced me?
Had she already let him in?
Another knock.
"Nick?"
I exhaled, forcing myself to pull my thoughts together before I called out, "Yeah?"
The door opened, and my co-star, Ethan, stepped inside, a water bottle in hand. His brows furrowed the second he looked at me.
"You good?"
I didn't answer right away. Just picked up my phone, staring at Jade's name on the screen. The same name I had stared at for four fucking days.
Then, I tossed the phone onto the couch next to me and let out a bitter chuckle.
"No, man," I muttered. "I think I just lost the best thing I ever had."
Jade's POV
I was drunk.
Not just tipsy. Not just buzzed.
