Adhiraj's Pov..

I got ready for my office and started set my hair.

She tilted her head slightly before saying, "I’ve decided to go back to work in few days."

I raised an eyebrow. "Work?"

She nodded. "I’m rejoining The Requel. It’s my family business, and I don’t want to sit at home anymore."

I studied her for a moment before a slow smirk appeared on my face. "So, my wife is stepping into the business world?"

Priya held my gaze. "I was always a part of it. Now, I just want to do something."

I reached out, tracing my fingers along her jaw. "Good. But don’t expect me to go easy on you if we ever cross paths in business."

She chuckled. "I wouldn’t want you to."

I leaned in, pressing a kiss to her forehead. "Stay alert. Bua isn’t done testing you."

Priya’s confidence didn’t waver. "Let her try. I’m not afraid."

I pulled back, satisfied with her answer. "That’s my girl."

I stood up, adjusting my watch. "I have to head to the office. There are some issues that need handling."

She nodded. "Be careful."

I smirked. "Always."

With one last look at her, I left for Rathore Industries not before a kiss.

I slid into the driver’s seat, gripping the wheel as the car roared to life. The city was alive, the morning rush blending with the chaos.

My phone buzzed. I tapped the Bluetooth earpiece. "Speak."

"Boss, we’ve got an issue," Suraj's voice came through. "They planned a trap for us."

I exhaled sharply, switching gears as I navigated through traffic. "Who?"
Suraj said the name which I was expecting.

A smirk ghosted over my lips. "Foolish move."

Suraj continued, "Should we kill everyone?"

I turned onto the highway, my fingers tapping against the wheel. "Not yet. Let them believe they’ve won. The moment they drop their guard, we'll strike."

"Understood, boss."

I ended the call just as I pulled up to Rathore Industries—a towering glass building, sleek and untouchable, just like the empire I built.

Stepping out, my men were already waiting at the entrance. The moment I walked in, the atmosphere shifted. Conversations halted, eyes turned, and employees straightened. They knew better than to waste my time.

"Sir, the investors are waiting in the conference room," my secretary, Trisha, informed me.

I nodded, striding toward the elevator. "Tell Suraj to get me every detail on that shipment. And Trisha…"

She straightened. "Yes, sir?"

I said. "Make sure my wife doesn’t call again to remind me about lunch. I’ll eat when I want."

Trisha hesitated before smiling. "Mrs. Rathore already said if you don’t, she’ll personally come here and make you."

The elevator doors closed, and I let out a low chuckle.
