~4 years later~
Life has been exactly like they had planned. Right after graduation, Shawn moved in with Janette. He pursued his interests in literature while Janette took over Jayden's business.
It was only a couple years later that Jayden announced her to be the next CEO, handing over everything to her capable hands. And a few months later, she proposed Shawn on the edge of a cliff where thousands of starts remained the testament of their thriving love.
They didn't take long before finalizing the deal. They got married on a fine sunday evening, near the beach. It was a destination wedding but only a few were invited. They didn't want too much crowd of unwanted presence.
Now, after spending the most romantic honeymoon in Maldives, the pair had returned to their new house—it was a gift from Destiny for their newly wedded life.
Janette was reluctant about starting a life in a house bought by anyone else except her or Shawn. But Shawn had assured her that they'd stay here for a few months then buy their own and keep this one as a spare or something. That's what she loved about her husband so damn much.
Husband.
That man just understood her so well, could read her like an open book and she never had to argue or fight with him to get him to realize what she needed. It's like he had a part of himself in her brain and all she needed was to think, and he'd get it. And vice versa.
They were really made for each other.
-----------
Making love in their new house, on the new fluffy mattress, felt like the first time all over again.
As their hips moved in slow rhythm, Janette explored every inch of the gorgeous skin beneath her with her tongue, scraping light marks and licking over the freshly blossomed wounds. The sounds made by her husband were like melody in her ears.
"J-Jane, please. I-I can't- I need to." Shawn pathetically whimpered, gripping the bedsheet tight in his fist and digging his nails on her hips with the other. "Let me." He all but cried.
Her devious wife had recently learned how much he loved edging and then being denied, and she used it to explore him more during every intimate moment. As much as he loved it, he also had some limited point where it got too much. But he knew the moment he'd use the word, Janette would stop. He loved the sweet torture yet wanted to escape it.
"Then let go." Janette whispered in his ear and moaned out loud as she felt the warmth instantly filling her up.
Collapsing on top of his sweaty body, the red head took her time to kiss the tanned chest of her lover. Taking extra sweet time to suck on his nipples till she felt the familiar twitch inside her again.
By the time they were finally done, Shawn laid drained and limp on the bed. He had forgotten to count how many times he had climaxed, obviously twice as much than his wife since Janette could still walk around. He blearily felt a warm washclothe on his ass, legs and thighs, then being rolled around so the sheets could be changed. He was vaguely aware of the bed next to him dipping and then the warm cocoon of his lover's arms were around his body.
By the time Shawn came to, it was the beginning of dawn and soft sunlight peeked in through the half drawn curtains.
"Hey, there, sweetheart."
Shawn couldn't stifle a coo from escaping his lips at the sweet drawl calling out to him. He smiled and nuzzled closer to the bare skin flushed to his. Inhaling deeply, he hummed and smiled. He was already addicted to the soft scent of honey that was so very Janette. His love.
"How are you feeling?" Janette asked, gently combing through his hair, untangling the knots. "Does it hurt anywhere?" She queried in the gentlest tone and Shawn would melt if it was possible.
Shaking his head, he burrowed himself deeper in her skin, almost wishing he could make a space between her ribs and stay there forever.
"I feel perfect." He cringed at his own voice, raw and hoarse from all the high pitched sounds he had made all night.
"Good." Janette kissed the top of his head, then both his eyelids. "Let's take a bath and get some breakfast." She suggested.
"Mm," Shawn hummed, tightening his grip around his woman. "Wanna stay like this a bit more."
A low chuckle vibrated through him as Janette kissed his temple. "Okay."
They stayed like that for several minutes, or maybe hours till Shawn tilted his head up just enough to look Janette in the eyes. He felt like falling in love all over again as their eyes met. Hazel ones boring deeper into emerald ones.
He chuckled softly.
"What's so funny?" Janette's thumb brushed over his chin, eyes full of love and compassion, lips quirked up in a playful smirk.
Shawn grinned wide, "I was just thinking how stupid we were. Missing out all of this because we were so scared to ruin our friendship."
Now it was Janette's turn to laugh sweetly. Pulling him closer, she bumped their noses together and breathed him in, just because she was allowed to.
"True. We were too blind to see that we have always been more than just friends."
Shawn's replying grin was blinding and breathtakingly handsome. Janette could not help but capture those suckable lips in one of the filthiest kisses of their life, taking her man's breath away when they parted.
"I love you so fucking much."
"I love you too, Jane. So much."
Their tangled forms laid in bed till late afternoon, where they dreamed on and on about their future, planning out the map of their perfect life ahead and bracing themselves for all the hardships that may come. But for now, they were just content to be here, in this moment, in each other's arms.
The End.---------
